big update: Topping, Repotting, and Moving all 3
Starting to see a BIG difference in the 3 now. I know whic is which on sight, but i still have tags. two are close, in stature and all, but another is a little strange. its skinny, and has wide fingers that look like a duck's foot. Check her out: the bottom leaves show it more than the others. If you look at the bottom ones, they are almost round. Not very vigorous, compared to the others, either. I find myself almost hoping its a male. Not really though, because i dont want the literal headache again so soon. It takes days to get rid of, even if i wear a mask
.....................
Number 2 is pretty, and all her branches, secondaries, seem to be keeping pretty even at the bottom. that could change as soon as she gets some of that food, and puts it to use. I just topped all 3, today. Last night they got a silica feed.
This comes about 48 hours after their transplant into 2 gal pots. They got a recharge laced feed when i did that, and seemed to go through it without any real signs of shock. They also seem to be responding well to the topping. no wilting so far, and i cut them first thing this morning. I counted 11-fingers on all 3 of them, prior to topping.
(I will get exact contents of both feeds and edit in an update. Just have to get out my notes. )
Here's #2
..............
#3 has 1 secondary that is shooting up like a rocket, looking for something. It's almost reached the level of the topping sight, missing it by only a few mm.
I liked this one more when i transplanted, but the longer the single stem gets, and the more lopsided she looks, the less I like her. I have a sprawling web w/the glue breath i have now.
...............
we will see how they do over the next few days as they adapt to their new pots, and their new COB in a 2x2x4 tent. Let you know in a few days!
