Waiting to finish.
PJust some ‘I’m waiting to harvest’ pics end of the the crop cycle. And a few notes.
Canopy shot. I feel pretty good about the training and canopy management overall. Plants got plenty of lower penetration.
Island Chill x Blizzard F1 (Exotic Frost).
Seems like the F1s both have a heavy Spice/Peppery nose, that is Earthy as well. I think it is the Blizzard passing along some terp. His stem rub and how their leafs smell when i rum one are very similar in scent. Also they both have similarly senesced and have a similar “look” despite being from different mothers. I think the Island Chill F1 is a bit of a longer grower, but that could be because she had to recover and those setbacks potentially delayed some other pertinent dominoes in the scheme of how her grow life played out. It could also be (as well as in addition to) because she is a ‘Sativa’ heavy hybrid…for what that is worth…in my view, pretty much everything is a poly-hybrid these days unless it is a landrace that has been worked, or a well known line bred that leans “Indica”, or “Sativa” if you will.. that breeds ‘true’ so to speak.
Shot Caller x Blizzard (Frost Bite).
Blizzard really passed on structural genes. The Exotic Mike cross was about what i had hoped for as far as him tightening up the Island Chill’s more ‘loose-bud-structure‘ and ‘narrow-leaf-variety’ ness… into much tighter more ‘Indica/Wide-leaf-variety’ kind of buds. The Shot Caller already had what I considered the ‘pretty bud structure’ when I grew her out, but she was one of the smaller plants and did not get equal PAR i think. Space was tight. Im sure yer yield suffered from the overcrowding. (Again, several lessons were gleaned from the Blizzard of 23 seed-snapshot.
Skydancer (B!tch be Frosty! and smells of Dank-Gas)
Watomints
(Best terp! Mind blowing candy/mint: I feel is most comparable to the Halls ~ Watermelon flavored cough drops (but not as menthol) and yes, I want to eat one: so next run I will definitely extract her and see if i can transfer a bit after decarb and a bath of everclear extractions…?) She has hella pretty nuggs too. Ofc IMO..but C’mon that is some nice bud tho. I just got a vaporizer and I am just itching to taste those sweet smelling terps.
overhead view, plenty of fade. Or as i like to call it, “Smexy Senescence”!
Note how the Automatically Delicious (top two) fade a yellowish green, they both have similar nugg structure too. While the Miracrop crosses both have some purple-and-orange-ish-to-yellow fade in the fan leaves and a similar bud structure too, and again I think the island chill F1 really got what i was hoping the Blizzard was going to pass.. at least visually in her nugg structure. he tightened up the whispyness her mother’s flowers had. Its hard to say for sure what is passing cause i did not ’select these’ (and as such had no goals i was aim to accomplish from the crosses) rather they were ‘good specimens‘ IMO, but selecting a seed doesn’t really count as ‘selection’ for plants.. also of note, I was not able to smoke the Blizzard so i hope its good and the crosses are too, lol.
Harvest is on the horizon at any rate…
