Day 79 - Harvest!

I could have let them go for another week probably, but I'm growing these for seed. I scoped them today and they're fully frost with 1-2% amber. I need the space and after harvesting seeds I'll try some sort of extract with the leftovers.

This blog is not finished, however! I still want to provide a seed count. And, more importantly, the sprout test.

Here are the seed-laden moms right after being chopped down:

Conventional wisdom says to wait until the mom dies on her own, and there may be benefits to that. Seeds probably get more nutrients and other starter material, perhaps. But it's my experience that when a seed appears mature, it is. I've picked seed-covered branches off cannabis (and other plants) as soon as they appear mature and subsequently have been able to successfully sprout those seeds.

Sprout test will be 10 seeds, probably in January.
