Day 63 - reorganization of growing space

Today I fed but with a new product:

Beastie Bloomz came highly recommended. Because this seed grow is in a separate location from my other plants, I'm probably going to go back to Sensi Bloom on the next feeding so I can just leave it in there. Note that in the past I've just mixed nutes by faucet agitation only. Beastie Bloomz doesn't mix as well and a mixing stick is a must.

The mothers got 1 gallon each, with 1 tsp Beastie Bloomz, two tsp Green Aminos, 1 tsp Refresh and 1 tsp dried green coconut milk. I didn't feed the chosen dad, who I killed a few days ago.

I've been shaking it several times a day and sprinkling any pollen found on the moms. I've noticed that there isn't the plethora of pollen I would expect from most photos (Black Widow excepted). But I didn't expect it to grow more flowers and I didn't need it anyway. For anyone who's wondering, I wouldn't grow one reversed plant with more than two moms unless you're after diversity and not quantity. I think if I had grown the pollen plant in a separate tent and collected all of the pollen, it might be possible to pollinate most of the flowers on three plants. Maybe. Of course, I kept this plant in a smaller pot because I had to take it outside every day to spray. If I'd put it in a larger pot, who knows...it probably would have made as much as I'd need for five plants.

The heater I had in there wasn't working right. So I ordered a cheap heater with digital readout on Amazon for less than $50. It has an undocumented feature: It turns itself off after around 20 hours no matter what the temperature is. So I gave it to my wife.

I already know the HPS keeps that room warm. So I got a temperature probe with heat and cold outputs and connected the heat output to the HPS that I had quit using. Even when it's 20°F outside, the HPS keeps it at a toasty 70°. And the HPS only runs when the room needs heat.

We're overwintering a rosemary plant and I haven't made light a priority for it thus far. So to get it some of the light and to give the mothers a shot of it as well, I put the HPS in the middle and left the mothers under their respective lights.

But I set the Optic 2 too low and allowed that plant to almost dry out completely. You can see the yellow leaves that caused (left mother).

I think that's all I've got, except that there are some seeds growing already, so as long as I can keep them alive until harvest, this is a successful grow.

Good to know. I have had nute problems switching from the sensi-"family" and switched back. I'm hopeful this product will be a good replacement because I don't like the mess of liquid nutrients.
