Day 38, so perky after def had to show you

Hello again, I don't normally post two days in a row but when I went into the girls this morning they actually looked so different.
After a heavy defoliation and a good feed yesterday their really going for it today. I'd also raised the light and the light power from 50%-65% and that has obviously made a big difference too, in less than 24 hours.
They're looking really perky and properly trying to get at the light. I think I should have turned it up a bit earlier as was just on 50% power because of the heat wave we had. Also on my last grow I properly bleached and damaged my plants as I it was a new light and I was an idiot so have been really cautious this time.
Only watered trainwreck and wedding glue this morning, 800&400ml respectively, water with canna root stimulator at 2ml per litre, as the two CWW were still moist just let them be.
Turned light up to 75% and will not turn up any higher for the remainder of the grow.
Temp is 28.4c and 95rh.
Have a great week canna people :woody:

try this app on your phone, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.homestudio.ppfdmeter&gl=US its not perfect and probably not really accurate but its stable, so will give you a fair measurement of the light at canopy level, it will help you learn power/height rario so long as you use the same phone all the time for consistency.
Thanks mate, will do that with the girls tomorrow, do have one app that I used for the last grow but according to that everything was fine but my girls were light damaged beyond belief so was just doing it by eye, heat etc. Homework for me now, thanks again :d5:

This app was recommended by the irish guy that did all lamp tests, Migrow https://migrolight.com/blogs/grow-l...e-recommended-par-levels-for-photos-and-autos i rather enjoyed his youtube videos and testing sessions.

here is the video, the app seems to be constantly about 200 ppfd lower on Android phones, than the light meter, so a fair place to start when measuring. of course if you have a iphone.....

Thanks again, I've got two phones, a Samsung galaxy and a Motorola, both android but I'll put it on both and then I can compare accuracy. I'll have a little watch of the video this afternoon too. Hope the girls appreciate it, I'll say thank you on their behalf as well. I did turn the lights back down to around 65-70% this morning as was really hot in there again, and turned up fan unit to 50%, I'll check them again later to see if things have balanced out and try the last light meter. Have a beautiful day :cooldance:

if the spread is good from the lights you can always lower the lamp and wattage, and still have a similar range of photons hitting the plants,
I use cods so have to raise the lamp and power to get a good spread, once the girls take up all the horizontal space I can add 2 more cobs to the mix and get a full cover at a lower height for lower wattage and less heat, its always a balancing act wattage ,heat, height, photons.....but especially through the summer months.

Good tip, thanks. Girls didn't need a watering today so didn't want to open up till tomorrow as they're still moist. Will be checking the light sit then. Got humidity down to 74 too btw. Thanks again

one good thing about the app is that it allows you to take a map of the ppfd across the whole tent, which helps in setting the correct height for the best spread at different power settings, you can best do this mapping in an empty tent at a couple of different power settings, it will probably run in line with your current practice (eye & experience) but why not have a go :smoking:

Definitely on for later, just waiting for my annual gas service ( need the guy to get here and go before I can open up the tent and not get surprised and interrupted), anywhere between 8am and 6pm, really specific , then off I will go light metering away :yay:, thanks for the instructions too, I'm sure I'd have been messing around for quite some time without them
