Day 27

I know these posts are getting repetitive, but I'm trying to keep good records of this process.

I checked the selected male today and it's showing signs of sex - female. I'm going to be really disappointed if this doesn't work.

According to Twenty20 Genetics instructions, their spray should be used every three days. I'm going to continue spraying every other day. I was hoping the selected male would come out looking like a male, and not like a herming female. But now I'm starting to expect the latter. That's ok. As long as I get any pollen I should get enough to make a lifetime supply of double grape seeds and everything else is secondary to that goal.

I also pinched two fan leaves from the top of both ladies (compare the previous picture to the next one). I did this to give more light to the branches below. I also pinched some growth that was coming out at the bottom node of the lady in front.

The trunk discoloration on the selected father turned white and peeled off. I probably burned it, but the skin underneath looks healthy and green.

Oh - and I applied chemo today too.
