Day 25 - Chemo and Defoliation

I gave my selected male another round of chemo today. I removed the larger fan leaves first to make it easier to get inside the plant. I'm not worried about stunting its growth because it is just a pollen producer.

I noticed some trunk discoloration on the selected male that has me concerned and will keep an eye on it.

I also removed large fan leaves on the other ladies that were shading branches further down the plants today to enable the lower branches to have more light to develop.

In this picture the plant on the left is my selected male and the females are the two plants on the right.

I just went to shut off the light and noticed that one of the mothers (on the right bottom) is already showing sex. So I started chemo barely in time.

This morning the other mother was showing sex. I closely checked the chosen father and it is the only one that isn't showing it yet. So I think I've at least successfully blocked the female hormone.
