Friday night I was chilling at home. I was COVERED in crisp crumbles and high as a kite.
The doorbell rang. Well fuck 'em kids I thought to myself and sank back into my chair. It rang again. I went up and as silent as a 300lbs fat guy can, I looked through the peephole. There's two guys in dark suits outside.
I might have died for a second. The bell rang again. I stood absolutely frozen in the hallway. I am now screwed. Where will I live when I come out of prison?
They were GOD DAMN MORMONS, ON A FRIDAY NIGHT? WTH YOU LOOKING TO GET SHOT?
So. I am still a bit shocked. But. I have been thinking, it would be nice to be able to open the door to strangers sometimes, if nothing else to let's some steam off.
For this I can't have two tents up and running, which I need to be able to dry.
I can't afford a cannatrol.
I'm looking at a large clay pot with a lid. Maybe I could work out air circulation in something like that. I could hang the plant for a day or so in a wardrobe and then in paper bags and into the pot and leave it there for a couple of weeks maybe would work in a cool place.
So I'm thinking a 25mm case fan in a tube pulling air from the bottom of the jar up towards the lid, and paper bags of weed around it so air can circulate around the bags but get very little air from the outside room. The clay pot should stabilize the humidity and temperature and I can just vent out excess moisture if it becomes a problem.
I have also read about lotus cure, but if I can't fit a tent I can't fit another refrigerator either. A fridge is not that strange to have standing around though, and they say it don't smell as long as the door is closed.
I tried a thing called HerbDryer a while ago. It's not as bad as one would imagine, but, you can't use it as intended really so
It's not a quick dry. I bet you understand how it works, it has a fan on top and pulls air though the bottom. It has a carbon filter on top that they could have skipped since it's unusable. I'll explain.
To get the humidity to a descent level I had to hang it in a tent, and that beats the purpose completely. It does still create a smooth airflow around the buds but so does a $10 clip fan. And the carbon filter? Well, now we are in a tent with a real exhaust fan and a real carbon filter. The dry took 18 days, so not a quick dry by any means, but now with 60-ish RH. People say the buds flatten I don't know. Maybe if you wet trim. But yeah, hanging feels better somehow.
But it is pretty small, if you live in a humid environment it might be pretty good. But like now here with 40% humidity you might as well be drying in the oven. I'm giving it away to someone who needs it more than I do.
The configuration you see above in the fridge works good for small buds and branches, I took the filter out because it doesn't do anything anyway but restricts airflow. But again, clip fan and some brown paper bags would do just as good I suppose.
