Day 41 buds coming along

Not massive changes to report, buds are forming well as you can see from the pictures below but plants are also still growing and my light is as high as it can go, it's a 2m tent ff sake. Current measurements are 95cm,95, 73 and 65 for the green crack girls and 80cm for the white widow. My bathroom GC is 70 but I need to move into the bedroom where the tent is at night so she can get some rest and not veg. They're roughly having @1L water a day, with Mr Magic 3-5-4 twice a week and leaf spray with playgron retro forte once a week. Have spotted a couple of gnats in last few days and am loathe to use a neem oil treatment as they are flowering, does anyone have any suggestions to get rid pretty please

light height is 14-19" depending on plant height

my bathroom girl, what to do!

healthy looking girls, personally I would be utilizing some heavy duty "super cropping" to level everything off.
I know what you mean but defoliating was painful, I should have topped the two biggest girls but still on a learning curve and thought the others may have caught up. If the main colas on the tallest girls fatten up and ripen then I might, not sure how much positive effect would have on the rest of the plant to do now as never done before. Was advised against lst as have a 2m high tent and I think that was the right call. Only my second auto grow so all advice gratefully received :thanks:

Took your advice and after watching video by Kyle Kushman (got the name from one of these threads so thank you AFN) took tried it out on the three tallest, not sure if I've done it right or not tho. No breakages so that's good and a much more even canopy now, pics below, thanks again :woohoo:

Just found your blog. Call me an old timer, but I never got the hang of the whole blog thing.

Your tent looks amazing though!!
Scary feeling when you are super cropping those tops isn't it? Twisting and turning while applying just enough pressure to damage the underlighing tissue, but still keep the epidermus intact... It's like walking a tight rope, as long as you don't have fear of heights you should probably be ok :pighug:

Re the blog, took me ages to work it out, duplicated entries because I couldn't find them and then didn't attach pictures when I thought I had - I prefer growing to tech any day. Thanks for your kind words too, not sure if I cropped correctly but I suppose only time will tell so I've got my fingers, toes and eyes crossed till then, probably not a good idea on a tight rope :d5:

I use Mosqutio dunks the round ones or the ganular for gnats. I put them in the soil and in my water and also put up a few stickey fly paper to keep them down even more. Keep them sexy girls happy. Keep the larva from eating your roots.

Kushmans videos are pretty good, whenever I use Super cropping I also use some rubber covered gardening wires to keep them held down, they do have a tendency to try and straighten up.
Its seems quite harsh, like heavy defol, but the benefits outweigh the fear ;-)

I am a fan of a flat even canopy, I feel that its the most efficient way to grow, use all the area, get even light across the whole grow, give every bud an even chance to produce its best.

I know you're right mate, checked on the girls this morning and my white widow is already trying to straighten up, one of the GC girls seems to have the most ideal reaction with the other looking like I broke her, taped up these two and swiveled WW pot, had to more defoliation again this morning too on the other two shorter girls, will definitely not plant this many seeds again, although at first seemed like a good problem to have :wall:

I am pretty sure they will pull through and it will work out, the learning curve can be a bit harsh at times, after about a week all those buds will be setting themselves to aim upward and grow like independent mains... it is a harsh practice but it pays off, i also dislike the actual bending and breaking, but sometimes its just a necessity.

The good thing about having too many seeds planted and plants growing is that you can always remove the weakest, this is also a difficult decision to make at first, ;-)

I believe you have done the right thing with the super cropping, I expect in a few days you will see the positive results, and you have practiced one of the dark arts and succeeded. ;-)

Thanks mate, hope is always good :worship: the girl I think I broke still looks the same but the other two are good. Still keeping everything crossed, they're strong girls so should be fine. I'll know to remove the weakest next time, and practice some topping, exciting. Thanks for all the help, much appreciated :bighug:

No problem, we growers grow, by sharing what we know.
You might be interested in having a look at Scrog (Screen Of Green) grows, training the plants to a flat even canopy, this is still one of the best tutorials out there imho LBH's Famous ScrOG Tutorial | Grow Weed Easy I feel its the single most efficient method of growing weed and producing some surprising results, also its good to have a plan for your next grow and use what you learn throughout each one. ;-)

Thanks mate. Yeah absolutely re scrog, I've already got the net, because my last grow was a mess, made by me I hasten to add, I wanted to keep things simple for this one but definitely on for next time. Just need to pick my seeds and I'm really undecided at the mo. Need some for chronic pain and some for chilling and sleep. Love Northern lights blue but they don't do an auto. Thanks for the video tip too, just what I need. Love sharing the love :smokeout:
Nematodes just came this afternoon so the girls will be gnat free very soon :point:
