Big chap. Was reading the bit there about spraying with Reno kelp ?could you please explain,I’d never heard of it ,I’m a 1st timer ,I’ve been feeding ph perfect micro,grows down bloom ,oops calmag too,through home work ,found out and started B52,voodoo juice and big bud ,but handled gears of temp kelp ,could you give me a heads up in that please mate.what it’s for and it was the spray but that fit me hooked?any info would be grateful,thanks & happy growing mate

Hi @Finchyboy, thanks for dropping in. I'm amazed myself how big this girl is for its age :smoking:

I'm just emulating what @St. Tom does. He put me onto the Remo Kelp. It's called Velvo Kelp, you mix it at 3ml per Litre of water to be used a foiler spray. Spray twice a day with the lights on. I bought an electronic mister spray, which is just the best £15 I've spent. Super mist without drips and evenly coats the leafs, underneath and on top.

Be mindful with it though as not all plants will like it, depending on strain, genetics etc..
My Chocolate Kush went yellow over night from the kelp, yet the Lemon Kix guzzles it like no tomorrow.

What I have learnt and will be echoed from other members, less is more and just plain water for the first 21 days. I filter my water 50/50 with tap water and pure filtered water for the humidifier.

I'm a total novice myself but If I can help just ask.

Thanks for that dean ,I’ll have a peak on Amazon for that,and try that with my next grow ,still 4or5 weeks out ,I was astounded though that when you buy let’s say 1000 watt light ,I’m awaiting one landing today and a 2by4 tent landing in a couple of days ,anyway like I was saying,I only just found out there that 1000 watt light is only good for getting around approx between 100£180 watts to the actual plants ,was quite gutted to hear that as I thought with the 600 blurpe on I have and thus 1000 watt full spectrum light then I would’ve been fine for lighting ,by the looks of it by what I’m picking up ,I’m needing at least another maybe 1000 watt light to get the extra 80 watts needed so as my 2by 4 on route will have all the lighting need per square foot ,I’m not sure ,but youbprobs do know about this ,I’ll get these 4 I have on the go done ,I’m actually going to put the 1000 watt in with the 600 watt burple to finish this grow ,to see how they do ,if it’s too much lights,I can at least remove it ,but by what I’m being told and searched up ,even now I’m about 20 watts short ,but my little ladies are doing ok ..fingers crossed,eh? And thanks for the heads up in the kelp ..I’m using a little humidifier in there too ,it’s been working wonders since I put it in a couple of days ago ,thanks again buddy ,happy growing and over n out

I wouldn’t worry about all the watts stuff, what you have will grow a decent plant in that space.
I think the amount of daily light they get is more important. I use an app on IOS called Photon, you have to pay for it but it’s accurate and only £4 or so.
Different lights will give different colour spectrums but just count the umols.

150-250 umols for seedlings
300-500 for veg
600+ for Flower

Depending on how far your light is from the canopy will determine how much light they receive. My lights are only 120W each pulling 240W from the wall and that’s it. The light they produce on full is about 750-900 umols but I should pull 10z’s+ in a 2x4 each run.
Make sure your humidifier is running filtered water, otherwise it will cover everything in calcium and ruin your grow.

I've seen few lately using there dehumid run off feed to fill tanks and use that to water have you posted anything on this ? I'd like to read if u have also have u done any ppm/tds checks dose it filter the water well ect sorry for all the qs m8

My bad just went back over it I get what u mean now u use filtered water for the humid not collect dehumid run off :doh:

My bad just went back over it I get what u mean now u use filtered water for the humid not collect dehumid run off

Just filtered water, I haven't had any calcium show up on the leaves but now the weather is starting to warm up my avg humidity now is about 50-55, I've unplugged it. I had an instance last week where something spazzed out and it dumped 5litres of water into the tent. The root cause was algae collecting around the sonic vibrator. I covered the tank in black tape, cleaned the sonic disc and we're back in business for when it's needed.

Shiiiiittttt man scary when that happens ain't it makes u think I've got a link to a belting little humidifier if u ever need another and it's really easy to get / replace the parts for it too I stopped using r/o water because it was cheaper to just replace the sonic module every year or so at £2/4 a go on eBay the sediment build up is a pain tho I've been lucky and not had an issue but am a clean freak and keep the tent nice and tidy with IPA wipes they work wonders and h can clean Ur grinder and bongs ect with them about a fiver on eBay for a big pack sometimes there labeled as industrial cleaning wipes or aircraft wipes kills 100% of germs and plants so don't drop them on Ur leafs haha

Also u mentioned algae if u buy some 12% hydrogen peroxide you can make a weak mix and run the humidifier on full out side and away from anything living obviously haha and that will fully clean the whole humidifier and it's not to harsh ive also used it to disinfect the whole tent after a run just seal the tent bang the humidifier with the hydrogen peroxide and water in it and after half hour an hour you won't have any thing alive in there just my theory
