DWC First Timer - Day 28 - RQS Fat Banana Automatic & Diesel Automatic

Good day all,

Ending week 4 and beginning week 5!

Update at day 28.

Very impressed with what’s happening in the tent. Especially as my previous experience has maxed out at a 225w cfl in soil. (Which is tasting awesome).

2nd September: Filled my separate 80 litre res with 50 litres tap water. 475ppm, 9.5ph from source. Bubble 24 hours.

3rd September: Ph measured at 8.0. Again, PH down added first to bring down to a base value of 6.0. Bubble overnight.

4th September: Added 40ml Advanced Nutrients Ph Perfect Micro, Grow & Bloom respectively. Bubbled for an hour or so. Solution was 625ppm and Ph at 6.7. Changed the res solution.

Other Grow notes:

- Tent temp has stayed between 72-76f
- Average solution temps are at 66-72f
- The drooping disappeared after a day or two. Growth has been vigorous - see image comparison between day 23, 26 and 28.
- Some tips discoloured at very end.
- Seen yellowing subside after a day or two.
- Started some light LST.
- Bushy growth on the banana, even stockier and short internodes. Saw vertical growth intensify yesterday. Dark and lush, one leaf 1.5 times bigger than my palm!
- Diesel is looking healthy not as stocky, still short. Lighter shades of green on this plant. Much easier to twist, tuck and bend to expose side shoots.
- Roots are developing, closer to the pot they are turning into solid parsnips! Need to make some cuts to stop the pot
- Moved fan again as this seemed to reduce curling edges on closest leaves.
- Spots continue to show on lower leaves but inconsistent, maybe it's splash from nute change..
- Starting to smell some very sweet aromas.

much love to @derek420colorado and @MissUniverse.

Any comments always welcome.

Bro these are gonna be so freakin huge!!! Because here’s the thing they haven’t really even started their stretch. This is blowin me away. I def thought we would already be seein that vertical growth take off. But imo that’s a good thing cause when they do it’s goin to be all hands on deck every day to manage the canopy. I’m halfway tempted to have you build a little scrog net. I’m serious man I’ve never seen a root like that before 30 days. I’ve got to get some more eyes on this. It’s spectacular. @man o green @pop22 @Mizzo81 yall check out this root!! @Waira im sure could appreciate it as well.

this is the best use of my max o2 dwc technique even eclipsing my own work I Believe.

oh and I forgot rep points are back so boom:slap: coming at cha

Wait to see the rootball when she's done!

Thanks man! I’m smelling good things and the vertical climb has definitely started - an inch within 24 hours.
I’d like to maximise as you know so if you think the Scrog would be best, lets do it! I got piles of timber and some time this weekend...
Yeah man I just can’t see them not outgrowing you’re space. It’s either scrog em now or heavy LsT as they get a little more height to them. I am leanin scrog man it’ll be the best way. I say get scroggy with it at 1.5” squares at 12” height from the top of the res

Great work @The Growerer you are doing a great job. Your roots will really help build your plant. You have one of two things happening, and I'm guessing a mix of both:

1: you're going to get huge bushes which will take at least a 3x3 area each and will keep begging for a week then start its sexing thoroughly and BAM! Flower fast strong hard and heavy chunking up and getting FAT and so many leaves she will need multiple defoliationans causing either softball ball nugs at the end of the many (probably about 35-50 branches)

2: she is building roots for her structure to build tall and wide which could be 5ftx5ftx7ft tall which will flower with about 10-25 main side colas which could form about 1 foot which are long and fat or so chunky they need to be supported with string from the top of the tent so the branches don't break off about 25 days in to flower.

The bigger the roots are to start, the better it gets. I also believe the location of your air injection into the roots, as well as allowing the res to lower itself to get the bottom feeder roots some high air content from an almost aeroponics method helps (as you are inadvertently doing every time you let your plants suck up nutrients every time before the refill the next day/evening/morning/fill).

Smashing first grow

Damn nice start!
I'm glad I learned organics at a young age. It's second nature now.

I would totally fugger up your method.

Interested in seeing how you LST and support the plant thru the full grow.
I like to watch grows with different methods of grows to see if I can find something that I can adapt/use in my style of growing. Never thought I'd ever use the term "My Style" when growing plants.
