I loaded the bud and trim from one of the solos into the dryer yesterday, and ran it over night. The current setup seems to work perfectly, with temperature tightly controlled in a band between 68F to 66.9F, cycling every fifteen minutes or so. RH is controlled between about 58.1% to 56.5%, but the vast majority of time is spent between 57% and 58%. I am still working on getting the humidity source finessed, but at this point it is close to about right with cycling only once every ten minutes or so, and the fan only comes on for about 3 seconds for each cycle. I am quite happy with how it seems to work so far. The RH cycling will change a lot with a bigger load, but given that bringing the RH down now happens in about three seconds without significant overshoot suggests that load size will not be a problem.
I changed the 11 watt blackened led for a blackened 40 watt incandescent bulb. The temperature recovery with only 11 watts was a tad slow for my liking, but the 40 watt works perfectly.
I will update again once I get a bigger load into the dryer, but at this point, results are spot on what I hoped for.
