Sawney my friend… your work is amazing bro. Other than my ‘operator errors’ the cultivars all grew well. The scents were amazing while they grew. I liken it to a Caramel Macchiato: notes of Java - which I actually think was the Blue Light. A caramel note: which i pinned to Bronson and the Skoosh and Nightmare that both have this Anis, earthy, sweet and spicy floral notes. I had planned on doing a bunch of training and stripping/Lollipopping, but they all grew naturally with out much of any training. And I was okay with this revised plan.
Dry Yields:
Nightmare no surprise came in first at ~22g
Bronson in second with ~14g
Blue Light ~7g*
Skoosh ~6g
~49g haul. Not bad but definitely room to improve.
Dry aromas and Smoke notes, Subjective ‘anecdotal’ experiences.
Nightmare:
She smells like the gas station rag. Nuggs are a mix of green shades light and dark and a few purple shades in there on some of the senescenced sugar leafs. She has a underlying minty and sweet spiced aroma steeped in gas in the bag. Very gassy aroma once grinded. Delicious menthol finish, near the fruity atmosphere but definitely sweet minty gas that I love. She beasted the tent. Took it over and shined while doing so. She is a hitter, probably* the most narcotic. I will say however she deals out an energetic high with a nice boost on the ‘re-high’ that brings me right back to the zone i was flying high in. I cant give her the ‘infinite ceiling’ label on her as I consider the narco bit a cap, too much will put ya down. I feel like she is Racy AND Heady. The most Heady in the tent, I get the anxious ‘headband’ and that frontal cerebral ’pressure’ for lack of… with just a few rips…she has a nice menthol finish on the exhale. Which was an unexpected but nice element. She fucking Dankdafied! Certified Dank. I get a smidge of ‘visual high’ too, not like trails but like a second or so delay cause the relaxation part of the narcotic-bit effects in me. Superb smoke.
Bronson:
The second most vigorous girl. She was the purple plant once the senescence started. Right down to the buds. She had a caramel scent while growing. On the dry, she has a musky yet sweet floral scent. I feel like it could be considered canna-potpourri. When grinded the caramel notes come through and she has this browned-sugar finish on the exhale. She is a nice racy energetic but pretty clear high. Great day cultivar, she is pretty infinite on the ceiling and the ’re-high’ her relaxation factor is not nearly as strong as Nightmare (or Skoosh) but there is a presence. The purple has her getting my Bag Appeal award for this grow. Those purple nuggs even look good when i grind them. Another hitter. The most balanced high for me. Good smoke, more energetic and cerebral than couch lock: a very balanced high for my system. Not as heady as Nightmare/Skoosh.
Skoosh:
She was the Frost Monster, even her sugar leafs were frosted. Bright green nuggs. She was a small and fast pheno, despite my stunting her, she prettied up. She smells of a hint of citrus and a nutty earthy musk. Almost spicy. Actually smells kinda cilantro/soapy. She has the most mouthwatering ‘Smarties’ (American candy) finish on the exhale. I will note I get a bit of a waxy mouth feel when i smoke this cultivar. But again she has this ‘soapiness’ to her aroma profile, which checks out in my brain. She is similar in heady High to the Nightmare, cause I feel some narcotic in the mix. She is very energetic however, I cleaned TF outta my kitchen when I smoked it the first time. But at the same time I was just spacing out once i sat down cause the narco hits hard in the Skoosh for my cannabinoid system. Another that gets my vision relaxed. Heavy hitter. Im a little disappointed she got so stunted, but the Bronson n Noghtmare make up the difference. Heavy eyelids and red eyes in this bag.

I really stunted her hard - so that said, she did not mature as much as the tent mates. I think she was my java terp in the tent while growing. The bag smells of nutty musk with a coco/java tone. Bright green nuggs that were starting to frost up. The grind smells of that soapy-esque scent: cilantro deal the Skoosh has: she also has a bit of that waxy mouth feel too. I would consider the exhale a bit of creamy java with that spicy cilantro… its wierd, a soapy creamy coffee.. I bet its similar to the matcha tea ?? (I have not had one however, lmao) She is a pretty mild high. I am guessing it is from her lack of maturity on the trichomes.. at any rate, she got me a surprising ~7g that I actually can enjoy for stash and not simply extract trim for consumables. She feels like a ‘Lite/Light” beer: those ~90ish cal variety deals that u can drink much more of than the Lager-esque Bronson/Nightmare/Skoosh ’full body’ beers…
the grades:
Subjectively, I am an effects guy, the taste is next on the bonus land list: and is a nice addition, but since i like those gasy and earthy terps taste is not huge, it is nice (hello Nightmare & Shoosh) but i can get Fruit Candy/Gum (hello Five n Below!) to fill the flavor void at any time…so i like, but not a deal breaker. I need my face busted off first. If it tastes good during its a bonus, if I dont like the taste, i get so e candy or fruit.
Nightmare.
9/10 Near perfect. A nice blend of hard hitting and tasty smoke. Heady and energetic and at the same time relaxing as can be. My favorite so far. Checks all the boxes.
Bronson
8.5/10 She is close to perfection as well for my system. Great tasting smoke as well, nice energetic high and smooth comedown, need another rip, right bak in the zone..and pretty, that purp has the bag on smash.
Skoosh
8.5/10 She is a hard hitter and also tasty AF! the Kandy in her Kush (that could be a song title…hmmm) rings out as Smarties for me. Its hard to describe, but they are these little cheap chalky candies I enjoyed in my elementary days. this smoke took me right back there taste wise. Another heavy hitting cultivar despite my mess up, but since she finishes so fast it worked out this run, albeit diminished results. She has an energetic high, but very relaxing overall. Esp visually: get the stoner eyes for sure. I do get some waxy mouthfeel after smoke this one that I attribute to the trichs on this girl, it was ridiculous.
Blue Light*
6.5/10 This score was a result of me stunting her so heavily primarily. She is still good smoke to my surprise, and she had that java terp while growing, it was definitely a great combo with the Bronson in the tent during the grow. She probably would have finished on time (and i assume similar yield) with the other two larger plants and I am sure I can pull more out of the next bean I drop. She also has the Soapy-ness and waxy mouth, but her terp is the hardest to describe. On the grind I get the java coco deal, but it has a spiced herbal tone.. like coffee and cilantro and creme, it is good thankfully because that is not the best sounding combo on paper. Anyhow she does not hit as hard which is okay if not for variety sake. Again I know she has a higher score ceiling. But i cant rank her higher comparatively.
In summary. These cultivars have been created with a vicious passion and I commend my guy Sawney Bean for his work and his network of ‘storks’ that help make situations like mine a reality.
