Well.. Today's the day. Chopping em all down! Group shot: Pheno#1 Pheno#2 Pheno#3 Pheno#4
Week 8ish.. Pic 1 looks to be the 10 weeker.. As well as the biggest yielder. Im happy with the yield on all 4. They would all do well if vegged longer and flowered in like a 7 gal pot. The other three will probably come down this time next week. I think Im going to reveg the phenos in pic1 and pic3. Which ever one smokes best will be ran again in a 15 gal pot. A few leaves here and there are starting to fade, but I dont think they'll be around long enough to see a complete fade happen...
Tresfighter x Strawberry Milk testers bred by Bodhi Seeds.. The phenos have definitely shown themselves.. Out of the 4 females, all are leaning towards Tresfighter is some way. But two are looking a lot like Appalachia.. They all still have the lemon pledge profile and are all well covered in trichs. A couple of them more than others. Im still thinking they have a couple of weeks left. They might be ten week ladies.. The leaves are still nice and green so I'll definitely be doing water only...
I dont like counting days... I prefer to read the plants.. Its looking/feeling like 3 to 4 more weeks. I did a final top dress.. A light one.. So it's water only from here to harvest. All four have a strong lemon pledge scent. #4 has the strongest profile, and is the only one with the gassy backdrop. The others are pure lemon at this point. We'll see how they finish up. The phenos are starting to separate themselves.. #4 has the best height and is stacking nicely. #1 looks like it may have...
Time flies..feels like I just got these testers in the mail, and here we are in week 4 of flower! They seem to be flowering pretty well. Im guessing they will finish around week 8 or 9. Just a reminder, since this is a blog and not a journal, that this grow is a strain test for Bodhi Seeds. I was sent a ten pack of regs to test. The cross is Tres Fighter (Strayfox cut) x Strawberry Milk. All 10 seeds were germed. 9 sprouted.. Out of those 9, 4 ended up being females. Those females are now...
Welp, I forgot that I had flipped these to 12-12 to sex them, lol. So today is "technically" week three, day 2.. Or day 23 of flower! So we are almost at the half way point! I'll take some close ups later tonight. They are already covered in trichomes. No real terp profile yet, but I don't expect that till around week 6ish.
And here we have it.. The Final four females! Let's call this week 1 of flower! They've been transplanted into 3 gal pots and top dressed with a craft blend and bokashi. Im using red cedar as the mulch.. I grow organic so there won't be any bottles used. Compost teas here and there but that's about it.. Oh, and this sprayer is probably the best 15 bucks I've spent in a while!
And then there were 6! I pulled three males out this weekend. Im hoping the rest are female. 5 female plants would be ideal. I'll probably order another 15 gals of living soil from build a soil and flower them out in 3 gallon pots. We'll be getting to the fun stuff sooooon!
Here we are at day 28. A few of them are starting to take off. I'm starting to see a few favorites! Just a reminder that these are the winter 2019 photo period testers from Bodhi Seeds. This is an unnamed cross of Tres Fighter (Strayfox gardens) x Strawberry Milk (Bodhi). If all goes well with the testers that are testing this strain, it should be released to the public some time this summer! Im a huge fan boy of both breeders and still can't believe I was chosen to grow out this...
Got all 9 into one gallon pots. They look a little hungry because they are, lol. I've been light on the feedings if feeding at all. They will regain color now that they have room and food, lol. Im going to flip them tomorrow to get a jump on sexing them. I'll probably transplant the females into bigger pots.. Or at least my favorite females.
