Heya peeps!
So we are back again with 2 more of the seedlings/strains growing in the tent this round.
These 2 are unidentified tester strains from fastbuds, a shout out to them for the cool opportunity!
The setup is the same as the other plants in the tent so heres ultra quick recap....5gal fab pots with an amended coco loco. Lights in tent are combo of autocobs and qbs. Feed routine is weekly shot of recharge and water only feeds the rest of the week.
Im going to kinda record both in this blog entry, i have sepearate specific journals available upon request, but for the time being im just gonna share them together.
I dont tag very, and im not gonna now. Ha.

edit- week 5 check in. fbto1 is rocking along! O1 is in preflower stretch so im hoping bloom is right around the corner! super vigorous, easy grower with no training and some defoliation. shape is very main cola dominant tho part of that is the selective snipping.
overall i am so pleased, my 1st fast buds experience has been pretty outstanding!
i think this plant is on pace for a 9-10 week finish if she keeps it up, ill take that any day!!!

Fast buds testers week 1 check in
So not a lot to allow yet, weve got 2 seedlings doing healthy seedling things.
They are a week a part in age so im hoping that theyll even out a bit as they get older.

Fast Buds testers week 2 check in

We are back at it this week with our check in on the little fast buds tester babbers.
Theyre both looking good tho fbto2 is a touch puny. Theyre both growing and have some healthy coloring so its all good in da hood.
Fbto1 did receive recharge this week but fbto2 did not. Next week tho both of the testers will be on the same feed routine.

Fast Buds testers week 3 check in
Heya peeps, its that time for our weekly checkin.
So this week was a bit rough in the tent.
Death has visited the tent and claimed one of the seedlings, FBTO2.
Long story short in that regards, i had some little bad issues pile up this week, stupid low rh, lower temps during lights out, and a power outage.
FBTO2 was a bit runtish anyways and succumbed.
FBTO1 however has weathered the storm and is trying to build up steam. She has started showing sex at week 3 and im hoping that preflower is right around the corner.
Feed is water only with that shot of recharge tossed in weekly.
Im leaning towards letting this gal grow up natural and tall tho i will probably snip a few fan leaves as needed.

Fast Buds Tester Check In week 4
heya peeps, how goes it out there in your worlds?
lets take our weekly look in at FBTO1, whos doing pretty well!
i am misting the plants constantly thru the day which has seemed to help combat the lower humidity in the tent, and the plants are finally growing at a great clip.
FBTO1 is growing tall now, theres been no training but i have snipped a couple of fan leaves. i am going to let this round grow up natural and tall so there wont be any bending or toppings. i will snip a couple fans here and there as needed but thats about it.
i have transitioned to daily bottomfeeds now tho i am still misting, tho at this point the misting is solely to help raise the rh a bit.
feeds are still 6 days of water only, with 1 day of recharge.
i am going to try something a bit different this round and do a topdressing here in the next week as the plants all get into the last bit of preflower. i will be using roots organic terp tea bloom tea mix for the topdressing. the hope is that it will give the plant that lil extra ooomph to get thru bloom.
im still shooting for the moon and that 1lb goal but im def not as confident ill hit it with 4 plants as opposed to the 5. i feel like the topdressing will help, but also be stupid easy in keeping with that particular theme to this round of grows.
so this round of tests with fast buds is pretty neat. we were given strains marked only with the fbt designation, and a number. we do know that these strains are all based off of classic photo strains and could/will be a part of a new release fb is doing.
everything else about the particular strain is left for us to pick up during the grow, and if/when we get to the end of the grow we toss out a guess as to the strain.
kinda neat!
im such a noobwad tho its not like im even really counting on being able to tell which strain it is. i am however taking some notes on things i think are/could be important in regards to identifying a strain, and maybe at some point ill figure out what it is im growing lol.
until then tho i have at least noticed that the growth is pretty quick, and real vertical. the fan leaves are a bit slender which together with the height makes me wonder if this particular strain doesnt lean towards sativa.
i dont know if the strain has anything to do with this but fbto1 appears to be unphased by cooler temps. my nighttime lights off temps are averaging low to mid 60s, not the end of the world but ive noticed 1 of my plants does not appreciate that at all lol. real real droopy when lights come on and just not real happy. fbto1 tho just keeps on trucking.

Fast Buds Tester FBTO1 week 5
Heya peeps!
Another week has come and gone and this gal is just cruising along!
She’s in the stretch and she’s just reaching taller and taller!
I’ve not done any training tho I have some some selective defoliation. The plant has a very dominant main cola and there will be several lil satellite bud formations as well.
growth and color is good, no real signs yet of deficiencies. I’m having to watch for that as another plant on the same routine is just sucking down the nutes and has a bit going on there.
I’ve added a top dressing of roots organic bloom tea in hopes that will curtail anything serious.

not only is it another great week of growth in the books but fast buds also released their new lineup Fast Buds Originals and the testers found out what we've been running!
My gal FBTO1 shall henceforth be known as Auto AK. yesssssssss.
sativa goodness soon to be in my life!
our grow has been fairly steady, auto ak hasnt had any issues with the nftg and water only feeds.
i havent done any training tho i have selectively snipped fans and have encouraged a central cola dominant plant. she's a cutie!

Week 7

this plant is just dreamy lol. Another real easy grower, haven’t had any problems with it this round. It’s seemed to take to the nftg 1 shot and water only grow style fairly well.
I think she’s at least 3 weeks from being done and might even go a bit longer than that.
I haven’t done any training but we have done some real selective defol to help encourage a single dominant cola type plant.
looks like it’s worked, there’s gonna be an amazing main cola and some really nice satellite buds.
overall I am so pleased with this plant, a great experience thus far with my first fast buds run!!!

week 8 for auto ak, formerly known as fbto1
week 8 is in the books and its been another good one.
auto ak is in full bloom finally, so now its time to watch these buds get fat.
they are already sticky af and the trich coverage is really nice.
i think the plant will finish up by the end of january, so not quite a 9 week grower but i think it finishes under 80 days and thats abso fine in my book!
feed is still primarily water only but now i have replaced weekly recharge feeds with a bloom tea from roots organic that i brew up in. 5 gallon bucket, usually for 48 hours and at the end i will add a dash of recharge, let that bubble for 30 minutes then feed.
no training just some defoliation and the plant has a beautiful single dominant cola build to it.
auto ak is in full bloom finally, so now its time to watch these buds get fat.

Well peeps! It looks like the end of the journey is finally upon us.
fast buds auto ak got the chop last week and just went into the jars this am.
I haven’t smoked any yet so I’ll do up another post here in the next week or so when I get the chance to try it out.
for now tho let’s recap this grow.
