Germination of Snow Queen Automatic.

With my latest order from Zenseeds.dk I got two bonus seeds of their strain Snow Queen Automatic.

I started one of the free seeds today.

2/3 of the cup was filled with soil mix (50% soil, 25% perlite, 25% vermiceulite and 1 spoon CaMg(CO3)2). Moisted with water containing 1/4 ds. Adv. Nutr. Sensi Grow A/B, full dose GHE Urtica, Hesi Root Complex and Hesi Powerzyme. pH 5.4.

On top there is potsoil with a hole filled with perlite. The seed was placed in the perlite and soaked with water pH 6,3, containing Hesi Root complex.

One cup contains Snow Queen, the other two is Fast Buds Mexican Airlines.

This is an attempt to transfer my successful perlite germination to a soil system. The idea is to avoid handling the germ and rather let the seedling establish in the cup.
When time for potting come, then half the cardboard cup will be carefully cut away, and transfer to final pot should be unstressful.

I think dropping a germ on the table by accident during tranfer to the final substrate is more stressful than taking a pair of siccors and cutting the cup away.

Most definitely! I always feel like they're better off getting started already in the medium they'll live in.
