Well two weeks in, and thinking of lst, stupidly cut one of the widest fan leafs off at the top :(, whilst cutting the string,! Plant is quite short and bushy.

How will this effect things! Is it best to tease that now exposed branch and bud site out...

Thznks

That way it opens up the whole plant

I'll cut these off a lot of times

Im new but i think if its just a fan leaf you should be fine, I have been doing LST as well and i recommend using soft wire made for plants no need to cut, soft and easy to bend around the stem without causing harm and reusable

Is it really worth cutting the opposite, or are you yanking my chain..? They must be there for a reason, these are the biggest leaves, 2nd node from the top.. I currently have 5 nodes

hint -> as soon as new branchez grow out of thoze orig fan leaf nodez & get established, even jus 1/2" or so, then thoze main fanz can get snipped & go by the wayside, trust me  all they end up doing is blocking both light & airflow...jus don't go crazy is all, lol ;) ppp

its like @420Forever said i do it to allow light , but i usally tuck them until they get no light then snip them off as the plant grows

Don’t worry, you’ll be cutting more water leaves off. Just don’t cut a branch off!
