Problem:

Medium/grow method: Fox Farm Ocean Forest/ extra Perlite added

Feed: and supplements used: Fox Farm Big Bloom 1/2 strength, Tiger Bloom 1/8 strength, Cal- Mag 1/8 strength

water source: Spring Water, Tap Water

Strain/age: Dutch Passion Blackberry Kush 4 weeks old

light used: Bestva DC series 1000w about 24 inches above canopy

Climate: 77-78f day 71-73f night

Additional info: Have only fed 2 times in the past week, Gave only Spring water until about week 3 and then switched to tap water that was allowed to sit open for 24 hours. Noticed yellowing about 3 days after nutes were 1st given along with the tap water.

IME usually not an issue...
Generally a bad idea to use bottled nutes with an unknown water source tho. Always best to examine water report and or use a ppm meter to see how high the waters ppm is..
@Mañ'O'Green might have more info..
Ive had this happen before and they usually grow out of it. Could be something as simple as light intensity.

Thanks for the quick reply!! A quick online search tells me that my tap water is 16 ppm, which is really soft, which is why I gave them a light dose of Cal mag, and last watering I checked my soil PH and it showed 6.3 - 6.6. My tap water is 7.4 without nutes, think I might flush and check my runoff next time.

I thought it could be light burn as well, but it only seems to be affecting one of my 3 plants, I moved my light up anyway because they are really starting to stretch, all 3 are at 24 inches and my light is 21 inches from the tops.

I dont think a flush is necessary. Checking ppm is a good idea . runoff should be over well over 1000ppm in ocean forest without any added nutrients.. I wouldnt change anything just yet if at all.. Wait for @Mañ'O'Green to see this before you do anything aside from what youve been doing.
GL!

Yeah, I am just gonna keep doing what I've been doing, they are actually due for a feeding tonight, gonna stay on schedule and keep a good eye on them for any further changes.

@Pistil_Pete :welcome:Welcome to AFN:welcome:.

Where do these numbers come from?
Feed: and supplements used: Fox Farm Big Bloom 1/2 strength, Tiger Bloom 1/8 strength, Cal- Mag 1/8 strength

Before you try to develop a custom nutrient schedule you need to understand balance and why ALL of the products are in the suggested feed schedule. You are missing the Grow Big?

Notice that flushing is only for coco!

Burnt tips is usually an indication of too much nitrogen and/or fertilizer strength or frequency.

:goodluck:

Ps get an EC meter 1/8 strength is meaningless.

Not really a custom feed schedule, just a slight tweak. I didn't use Grow Big as they never showed me that they wanted it, I had dark green leaves and vigorous growth the first 3 weeks, so I only fed water. Once I switched to regular tap water, I gave a small dose of Cal-mag to supplement the tap water a touch. I'm feeding at 1/8th strength because I was seeing burn. I'm just gonna go ahead and stick to 1/2 strength everyother watering from here on out.
