anything I can get my hands on!
Hey!
Well here I go. I started in the Mass MMJ October 2013. I will endeavour to document my journey. I received notice a few weeks ago that the official state system is going online and that I would need to be registered with the state with an official patient number by February 2015. I will try to get all of my papers together and prepare a synopsis for you all.
So stary tuned and see what all the fuss is about here in Massachusetts!

Smoking up a karma Cloud for you wwwillie....."AFN smoke out"..Good Luck on your Journey.

Thanks Mossy!!

This will be interesting to say the least maybe a bit boring as it is a bureaucracy we are dealing with after all.

In MA you will need a hardship dispensation or exemption to continue to grow. Now that the state's system is in place and dispensaries are supposed to opening soon they will begin to enforce this. Prior to this taking place we have been able to grow for ourselves. We can have up to ten (10) ounces for our use. I had thought the limit was twelve (12) plants but heard there is no limit within reason. I need to fact check that.
This part worries me a bit. We are not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination, but we could be considered to not be hardship qualified. I think what I need to do is to become a caregiver. I can then supply myself and one other person, the care receiver for lack of a better term. The care receiver must then be hardship qualified so I can grow for them under their hardship exemption.
This is what I will be researching and working on this week. Also I will see what I can get for dates as there are some important ones coming up for registration and all.

good luck! karma sent:karma Cloud:sounds very confusing:dunno:
easy to understand in maine.:Sharing One::tiphat:

Do me a Favour then astro..set up how you would apply in Maine thread...

DubV says the Problem trying to co-ordinate Legal info is every state is different..so we will need a different How To thread for each state.

I'm getting the Legal staff to document their areas...but we will be depending on Legal members to Help so we get good coverage.

wwwillie..I was homeworking yesterday on how to set up your own pharmacy and hell..they are pricing the ordinary man out of the op...:tiphat:

I'm sure I saw a Licence of $20,000 a Year if you wanted to grow on the premises.

Www, you are my hero.

M. that is what scares me, they probably want "Con Agra" to grow our beloved medicine.

Great Job Www, hope we can use up yer info.

Me Too..when we say Free the Weed..it needs to be Free of big business..and I Think That will be our next Big Battlefield.

That is a real issue!! Reminds me a bit about the breweries in early 20th century. The big brewers tried, and for the most part succeeded in putting the little guys out of business with outrageous requirements for licensure. There used to be breweries everywhere, small ones like what we call micro-breweries now. I knew a couple in NJ that had to lobby for a few years to get the law changed. The law was that you had to produce an absurdly large amount per time period to qualify for a brewing license. Like way more than a small outfit would possibly want to make. A small law you would think, but the perfect roadblock to having a brew pub.
I expect to see a lot of that happening with MMJ and Recreational too. Our weed/medicine will be available I am sure of that, but just how it will be and who can provide it is what we need to concentrate on.
Astro, would love to see a section on Maine!!

They always have someone involved, who's job it is to figure out how to make things like this more difficult. Its intentionally designed to discourage people. The people who craft bills like this don't really want it legal, so they resort to making things difficult. I spent 11 years working for a state run entity and learned a fair amount about backdoor politics. Your taking the right approach, and good for you! Read EVERYTHING in the bill and regs. The more you know, the less they can bullshit you!
