I think I settled on a middle of the line LED to increase my coverage. I'm currently running 2x Marshydro ts1000 at 150w ea. This worked ok for a 2.5x5 tent. i expanded to a 4.5 x 4.5 space and hope this light will do well. It came down to 320w with 3- qb288 or the 320w and 3 bars with the same LEDs. I'm leaning towards the bars. What do you think?

I personally prefer strip style lighting as the coverage is more evenly distributed. They can be ran fairly close without the hot hotspot issues especially when height is a concern.

Before I decided to build my lighting I was considering KB/Meiji strip lighting and for my next build it will be strip lighting again. Boards and cobs are cool but they work better in high bay applications.

It's a preference that works best for your individual situation. My flood table is 2ft tall already plus pots so strips work best for me.
