Hi,

Problem:
My plants are 4 days old. One of them seems pretty normal but the other has kind of wrinkled leaves and the new set of leaves have something brownish on it. What could be the problem? Or is everthing okay?
Also, is their growth normal for the 5th day?

Medium/grow method:
PlantIn Light Mix Soil with extra perlite added

Feed: and supplements used:
No nutrients until now

water source:
Dechlorinated tap Water 6.2 pH
Edit: just checked the pH again and it was 7 ..... I should have checked with every watering... Does this mean that I stressed my plants too much?

Also I use tap water which is chlorinated for the humidifier would that cause harm to the plants? Should I use dechlorinated water for the humidifier as well?

Strain/age:
Jack Herer Auto 4days old

light used:
240watt quantum board samsung 301h

Climate:
%60 humidity, 24C temprature

this is the one with “wrinkles” and brownish things on the small newly forming set of leaves

I'ts hard to tell what that is.Looks like some sort of rot.Have you checked for insects?Make sure not to overwater and keep air flow around the plant.Keep an eye on it and hope it clears up Try using distilled water for awhile and see if anything changes.

I checked for bugs and also looked at the brownish area with a microscobe but I did not realize antything strange or bug related.

I will water with distilled water and check the pH in each watering.

should I also use distilled water at my humidifier? Or does the chlorine in water not effect when used at the humidifier?

What soil are you using? Might be its a little too much to plant in directly depending on what it is? Unless you put some seedling mix in the hole you planted, then its maybe another issue. The cotyledon leaves look like they are starting to yellow near the edges on the one with the purple growth tip as well.. Might be an early sign of an issue.

What is your rh reading?

My pH reading is 6.3 at the moment. But earlier I ve been giving 7.2 pH de water without realizing it was high :(
I hope they can acquire the nutrients in the soil now because the tips started to become a bit yellow

I use plagron light mix soil so its not early nutrient overload issue. However, I gave 7.2 ph water for 4 days without realizing its too high. Now I gave 6.3 pH water which I hope will help them get the nutrients they need. Hope that will help the leaves get back to their green state

Can it be light stress? My 240watt quantum board was hanging at 60 cm. Now I moved to 80 cm.

Main thing is, don't panic and start changing a bunch of stuff at the same time. Soil takes longer to produce results than coco or other hydro methods. At that size I think they are still running mostly on their own stored energy. Keep ph'ing your water, give em time to tell you what's going on. As far as chlorine in your humidifier, it couldn't hurt to let the water sit for a day before adding it.

Listened to your advice. PH ed my water and put the light a bit higher to see if they were suffering from light stress. The yellowness on the corners and the brownness on the small leaves started to turn into green. Can you check their cureent state? I think the seeds are not high quality :/
