just got a call from the clinic im approved to renew my med card .....now i just have to round up the money for it.

If you dont mind me asking, what do they charge for a med card? Im a caregiver in a state that is likely to be one of the last ones to join the cause. I was just generally interested. They charge to have access, they tax it, its more money for the government to waste on whatever they want (cause they dont spend money wisely), i dont see the issue here.

I know at least one state that uses the funds for admin. the program I believe one of the overriding factors in med. canna states and the two legal ones is money. Often it is earmarked for education etc.

its 180 for the clinic to help with classes and partys. (non profit) the state cost me 20.00 dollers cause im on ssi...others its 195.00. this is paid once a year. im in Oregon. for me it saves my butt with my legal issues.

Its still such a shame that "we the people" should have to pay a fee to medicate in a way we feel comfortable with outside of the norm. I mean its okay for them to push chemical meds that the FDA approves with all the risks of death/suicide/depression not to mention causing conditions that can lead to..........death or other serious conditions. We have to pay to say no............we want a more natural form of medication that fits the way we live. Such a hippocritical government. "We can legally push meds that can kill you, but you cant take cannabis because it "could" be bad"

Anything to make it legal for you!

i agree we are hoping next year Oregon makes it legal so we wont have to pay all those fees. ya there just out for the money

I got popped last year in ak - which is no big deal. I was never a patient up there as there are no dispensaries and you are actually more restricted as a patient in addition to giving up some of the protections afforded under the state constitution- and having more restrictions. Lame.

Just was in court today in a southeastern state for having meds on me- less than a gram... This is gonna cost me 1500 and be another misdemeanor on my record- and another year on probation. It's total bs. I can't even be in the room with these fukkers. It's like they are committed to keeping me sick and in pain. Or strung out on pills. WTF.

As opposed to ak- where the charges all got tossed. Along with me garden... So it goes. Live as an outlaw die as an outlaw.

You know it does- but... Hey- one day right. And honestly, I used to live in wa and colleyradoo. And ak- and love them all. Ill only be back down south for a couple few years. By then- who knows? It'll be right here- or ill be back in Washington or ak.
