Wilting Northern Lights - Micro Grow

Hi Guys,

I Hope you can help me... I have a Nirvana Northern Lights Autoflower growing in a micro grow area inside my garage.

It got pretty toasty so I hooked up a ruck fan with speed controller to get the temps down a bit.

The plant was extremely short and bushy (around 4" high) until mid 3rd week when it grew to around 10" high now. It has around 8 bud sites and looks a perfect size for my grow area, smells great too.

However, I have noticed in the last few days it has started to wilt slightly. Today I watered it as it was dry and pot was light, and by the end of the day if had wilted further. My thoughts looking at the pictures would be over watering, but I am pretty anal with following advice on letting the soil dry.

The only other anomaly is the temperatures, since it is in the Garage there is big difference between the top and bottom of the box.... like 15c I think. The soil always feels cold to the touch. I think this is because I have all my inlets (3) at the bottom of the grow area.

Thanks for the help.

Your medium:
7) Specific brand and type of soil; BioBizz Allmix
8) Size of container; About 1.5 gal

Your nutrients and water:
9) Source of water; tap natural ph of 6-6.5
10) Method of checking water ph; aquarium
11) Method of adjusting water ph; BioBizz say dont PH with their nutrients and soil combo
12) Specific brand and N-P-K ratio for each bottle. List dosages (quantity per gallon) and current feeding schedule; BioBizz Root Juice, Grow, Bloom, Topmax - .6ml/liter each
13) How often are you watering between feedings, and how much per watering? 4 days, 1.75 liters
14) Any additives or tea's? No

16) What is your ingoing water's ph? ...your runoff ph? Dont check
17) Do you foliar feed? If so, with what, how often, and at what time do you spray? Sometimes with Canna Cure because it is in the garage and dont want pests

Your growroom:

It sure looks like over watering.Let it dry out completely before next water. Some of the roots may be damaged, try and take pot off and see what the roots look like.If ther healthy and white your ok but if ther brown or black try cutting some of the dead roots of and replant in fresh soil.

Thanks namvet25 - I will leave till bone dry.

Will an autoflower handle re-potting at this stage? There are a few root ends sticking out of lower sides of the pot which I think it is meant to do given its in a root pouch - they looked nice and white, but have since turned black as I have read they are supposed to self prune that way.

Actually now I have looked, all around the lower portion of the pot is kind of brown - I assumed stained by the nutrients; could it be mold/mildew? I will take more pics tomorrow and post back.

my root pouch does the same i would not re pot now
i agree with over water
also check your ph i know what bizz say before you ask
no mention of humidity either

Thanks agito - you guys sure are helpful on here, it is very much appreciated.

Hopefully it is a simple over watering - you just worry so much about your baby :)

If PH is off then it will be too low (I suspect 5.9-6.0) - what would you recommend for raising the PH organically? BioBizz do say they chemical PH adjusters harm the organics (sorry I know you said).

MMmmm organic maybe some hort lime but go easy. Ive been using compost that was ph below 6.0 and biobizz have told me to keep at 6.0-6.6

going below 6.0 also harms them as well lol

but check runoff before changing

Thanks again.

Think I may move my grow journal to this site, seems to be far nicer than the other site I am posting it on.

Do the temps look okay? (27c top of canopy and 16c at bottom of pot) It has been the hardest item to keep right given the location of the grow box.

She has started to pick up today.

I will put it down to over watering, but I also did this yesterday;
* Added topmax .6ml/l and bloom .6ml/l nutes for the first time (+grow) with the watering I gave her in the morning
* Put a heat pad under the pot which is keeping the base of the pot at 22c
* Move here 2 inches further away from lights (there was a cola too close anyway)

I have been really keeping the nutes down, only .6ml/l grow until yesterday, plus she was starting to wilt slightly before the watering.

Wish I spoted the fix mix guide - would have saved me a fortune and made the life of a newbie much easier.

Thanks again for the help guys

you should be on 1ml grow 1ml bloom by now per l every watering
temps are fine
