They make a white plastic wrap that came in wide rolls that was very cheap and worked well. Myself I went to a permanent room and wanted it easy to clean with bleach so I put metal sheathing like the kind they use for roofs and painted it white. Total final soution. I like white I think it reflects better than shiney metal and it is more diffused but to each his own.

Im only on a small 1 plant cupboard grow which is allready painted white.. I could do the whole thing for a $.. Ill try a roll n update on reflectability(if thats a word).
Do growrooms need bleaching??

white plastic can be up to 95% reflective, while mylar gives 98%. although white paint is good too. Y E S bleach your grow room, prep areas, trays, tables, walls, etc....but, use clear water to rinse! number one rule for indoor growing. cleanliness, unless your growing something that's slightly skirting the law, then it's SECRECY! . clean is always good!!!

I like using flat white paint. Keeps everything cool and clean - highly reflective and holds well to cleaning agents. i use a 3% hydrogen peroxide spray once weekly to sanitize the grow space. Works a treat :D

I totally agree with that. The more like a labratory the better luck you will have. I used to use plain soil and home made compost but I have switched to coco when I'm using pots and only chemicals in the hydro tank. Too many pests came in with the soil and compoet.

So white seems to be the colour(if it is one).. I got some silver wrapping paper today and it has really made my space alot brighter.. Any improvement is good I think:) Big thanks for the bleaching advice, I have never done it before but seems to be the done thing.. just wondering what can go wrong if we dont bleach??
