So I've been thinking. I know, it can be dangerous. Has anyone ever let their plants dehydrate naturally - by witholding water the last few days of the final flush? Wouldn't we get a better head start to the drying/curing? I think in that first day of wilting the plant would lose much more water by respiration than it would by the standard drying technique. Would potency be affected? That would be a good reason not to do this.

Inquiring minds want to know!

Alot of people do that. There are some who just switch off the lights and dry it all on the plants. There is a high mold risk doing that. A few day with out water is not biggie.

In summer outdoor, I let them die and dry up by themselves. It produces a lot of resin as it tries to survive.

If well planned I try not to water the last 4-5 days. But sometimes chops happen. A moist plant oozes a sweet water, its tasty.

:peace:
