1. They extend the outdoor planting season. I can put autos out in the ground anytime between last frost and about 10weeks ahead of last frost. And with a greenhouse, it's pretty much year round with no supplemental lighting needed.

2. Less turnaround time between breeding cycles. This allows for rapid development of breeding projects. Instead of getting one outdoor crop per year with standard 12/12 plants, you can stagger plantings by weeks-months and really up your rate of strain developments.

3. Small profile crops. No neighbors seeing the big sativas growing taller than the fence.

4. Speed from seed to weed. Outdoor 12/12s take the whole season to grow (but the harvest weight is huge). Sometimes, I just want a new variety to try and I want it rather quickly, not 6-7 months from now.

Why do you all like em?

You can fit a lot of babies in a small area even after they have sex in small jiffy pots. I fit 100-120 females in 4x4 ft area. Note: they are in 4 inch jiffy pots

Discretion is the name of the auto game. Smaller stature makes them harder to detect, lower yield makes a garden less interesting to thieves. 3 month harvest almost year round is well worth the lower yield.
