Terple,
High Y'all,

I keep thinking back n forth about this so I thought I'd ask the community. I currently have a 2.5*2.5*6ft tent with a TS 1000 and I'm also getting a 3*3*6ft tent with the TSW 2000. Here's my question, is it better to grow photoperiod and use the 2.5*2.5 tent for veg and the 3*3 for flower? Or is it better to use the 2.5*2.5 for autoflower seed production ( of Mephisto Genetics) then when I produce enough seeds use it to veg the autos and the 3*3 for flowering Autoflowers? I'm back n forth about this. Any input would be much appreciated.

Happy growing!

i like the first option myself but if you went the auto route remember the f1 generation of a auto cross is not a full auto you would need to hunt through the f1s find the auto to breed a f2 round if all goes perfect then you will have your own autos if you have the time its doable but just be aware its not the easier option of course this is all my own opinion

Oh I always thought that if you used auto seeds go it'll automatically produce auto seeds... I don't have enough experience to know how to do what you're saying is needed. If I used only auto seeds wouldn't they only produce auto seeds? Also how many photoperiod plants would you recommend? I personally thought 4 would do. Thanks

i not 100% on that more like 89.96% that when you use both auto parents the f1 isnt fully auto yet just double check that to be sure and dont be too sure you cant do it alot of reading and soe help from people in the know around here im sure you could do it i plan to do it in the future when i have more space

if you go the photo route id say 4 big plants or 5-6 small medium ones whatever fills the space also depends on strain if it a big bush skunk/afgani id probably stick with 4 if it was cookies or a og strain id go to 6 in my space 4 x 4 i have 9 photos wall to wall wasnt happy with 6 i cant veg big plants here so i run more have a look if you want

have you thought about vegging the autos for 2-3-4 weeks in the small tent then moving them into the big to tent to finish flower this way you can have your next auto run started a few weeks early

Yeah I thought about vegging autos in the small tent and flowering the autos in the big tent. The only thing about autos from what I understand is there genetics are very inconsistent. For example you can get the same strain and one plant might be 1-2ft tall well the other one is 3-4 ft tall. Also there's not a lot of room for error with autoflowers and the seeds are way more expensive. From what I understand there's only a handful of autoflower strains that can grow to the same capability of a photo and most of those seeds are hard to come by. The seeds are also way more expensive. Lastly there's tons of information to study about photoperiod plants. But with autos there's no where near the amount of knowledge yet. I'll check out your grow when I get back home. By the way thank you so much for your input I really appreciate it. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'll take your advice about producing seeds as well. It sounds like much more work than I thought it'd be. Better to just cut clones.. Lol

your not wrong in general autos have a vast array of qualitys and one thing you didnt mention is the autos that take 100 days one of the reasons i went back to photos there just a bit more predictable in my situation autos are great for certain situations but i like more consistancy cant have plants going a extra two three weeks than the rest
about the breeding i would say look into it more maybe do a photo cross first to get your feet wet

Your input has been invaluable Trichome Farmer. Usually I have to pay people if I want any advice in person. Just wanted to say I'm so grateful and thanks again. Looking forward to checking out your grow! Also, are you on www.growdiaries.com?
