Hello AFN Community:
I am stuck at the gate because I don't know what to do here. I want to grow auto amnesia next summer outdoors and some of dina fems other XXL strains. I've never grown auto's before and was under the impression that you had to put your germinating seeds in the pot they'll stay in through the entire growing cycle. If that's true then I guess I can't grow them up inside. I'd have to take them out to my plots (seed with tap root exposed) and plant them in the 5 gallon fabric pots. I wanted to make this grow count and so I was going to try and grow 100 autoflowers to see if I could get a few pounds.
But if I just go out there and plant the seed with the tap root - will it have any problems growing under the sun or should I put them in a shady spot and let them grow? Can I have a finished auto from seed in under 120 days? That's the max time I can give them. I was also thinking putting those very baby seedlings out under the sun would kill them.
I'm going to have these plants off the ground on make shift tables for a lack of a better word made from 2 inch thick branches. Slugs killed my photo plants this year. Huge lesson. Using the water spikes into water bottles for water. You can get water spikes from ebay from numerous sellers.
Thanks for your tips/suggestions.
