when to throw in the towel (seedling)?

hi folks

I had some mold in day 3-4 with my autos. took the plastic wrap off and the seeds popped and one got stuck. how long do you give it before trying another seed?

What kind of mold. If you are getting mold at germination you are doing something wrong. Is your soil too wet? I can tell nothing by that picture.

the mold past after one day. it was a light fuzz and I caught it soon. no mold the day after i removed the plastic wrap. it went away and t popped partially in the week following and has been like like this for a few days. I'll get a better pic. thx

The plastic wrap may have caused your seedling to "damp off" meaning the seed embryo/taproot lack sufficient oxygen to develop properly
and also provided wet conditions for mold development. The key is moist, never wet medium. Provide air circulation and make sure your container can drain any excess water so medium can cycle from damp to moist. Good luck.
