Indoor when to start counting weeks?

Depends on what you call day 1...some go from when the seed breaks ground, some go from when first leaves sprout.
Most don't start nutes until week one so 7 days or so from what you call day one would be a safe bet.

What dcat said, some people say day 1is the day the seed was sown. I call day 1 once it sprouts and opens up to first set of leaves

Sounds good, heard from somewhere that they dont start counting until the cotyldone drops off. Which raised my eyebrow..because it can take several weeks for that to happen. Thanks for clarifying everyone.

I never count seedlings, week one would be when a clone is established or you have a real plant, not just a seedling. Seedlings need nothing really, there is enough nutrition in just plain tap water to get them to the plant stage. And go easy on the even the water.

My plants will be DWC. Rockwool germination from seed then into net cup for bucket. So when do you consider established? First true leaves, second, third set? Curious. Thanks

yeah, 2 or 3 nodes, 3rd or 4th just developing would be week one for nutes, If I am topping I do it right above the third node, so I keep that in mind when fertilizing. After it's topped then I consider it to be a plant in full operation. If not topping then just go very easy on anything you add and then wait to see how it handles it. For most autos week 4 is when it is making the transition from veg to flower so you can readjust then to the written week count for whatever instructions you are using as a guideline.
