When to get the male started?

As far as I have understood there is not wise to start the male and female at the same time when the goal is to make seeds because the pollen will be ready too early and the result will be a few seeds only.
So I have read that males should be put in a darker and cooler place until the female have fatten up some and ready to be pollinated with several more seeds as a result.

So the question heres is how many weeks into flowering should we wait until we introduce the male to the female?

It generally will take about 4 weeks for seeds to develop to viability. My rule of thumb is to pollinate about 4 weeks before your plant would have been finishing. You can always run it longer if you want to ensure big fat seeds.

Generally, every white hair can make a seed if you do a good job of pollinating, so figure on that as a guide to how many seeds youlyo get. I always pollinate at least twice a few days apart so I can hit any hairs I missed the first time through.

On a plant that I've pollinated, I'll generally let it go til it's almost dead but not if it starts dropping the seeds. The longer they cook, the better. You also keep feeding all the way through til the end to give the seeds all the nourishment they want.
