Did a search here. Itsa DWC setup with top feed rings around Rapid Rooter plugs transplanted today (day 7) after tap root reached bottom of plug and seed casing was sloughed. Giving them 300 PAR of light at 27" (4 sq ft/2 plants and 180w light) with active ventilation and 3d fan. Good RH. I wanna go only water (good O2 underneath) for this second week, but have also read to start nutes now at around .2 EC/100-150 ppm, or no greater than 200ppm. Seems the risk of burn is greater than just going water only for first two weeks. Is this right, or can I safely nute now at these low levels? Thanks

Only food your little one will get is from you. If you don't feed, she won't be around in 2 weeks.

Thanks Arthur. Didn't know whether it was a hard and fast rule about needing/wanting only its cotyledon nutrients. That's awesome. Guess also that the preponderance of "2-week-water-only" had mostly to do with.soils. Cheers

Added 20ml each of the GH Flora as per the Sensi recipe. Began w/ 66 ppm water at 6 ph and this made it 188 ppm and held ph. Not gonna lie--was really hopin I'd get to feed. Off to the races. Tent is warmer than I thought it'd be so will have to keep an eye on that. Not experimenting w/ cal-mag unless I have reason, nor the Hydroguard. Thanks again. Off to update the journal.

Are you running in a 5 gallon bucket? Watch the water temps. There are chillers available now, when I was doing DWC I used an aquarium chiller. Easier for them to ride out temps if the roots are held in check.

Itsa 15 gal plastic bin usin 10 gal for 2 plants. I'm freezin a quart of water in a plastic bottle cuz I didn't know they had chillers, so I'll check those out. Temps at 73 so I'll check that tomorrow too. Also opened up the tent a bit. And intake fan is blowin on the res which is insulated. Thanks again.

Lookin at this. Would have to add a temp regulator.

12 hours later and ppm holdin steady but big surprise is water temp. It's dropped over night to 67 from 72. The effect of having the intake fan beating on it? Wasn't expecting this. Redirected air flow down there and will check in a few hours.
