If they're photo's i'd switch as soon as you flip to 12/12. If autos i usually switch to a flowering bulb about a week or two after they show sex depending on how much stretch I anticipate. Hope that helps some.

you want to switch that bulb at about week six or when vertical growth slows or stops....or atleast thats what work for me...:bong:

they are autos. what do u mean by stretch. will switching cause more stretching?

:booya:well usally u want to use th mh bulb for veg which is usally week six..then you would want to switch to your flowering bulb, your HPS...for the rest of the autos life.

now to answer your question..never really said strecth, i said vertical growth.hahah just kidding im not an asshole..but usally your plant does alot of its strecthing during the first six weeks unless you switch to bloom nutes to early...but when in the veg stage is when it does most of its growing or strecthing...get a yard stick when vertical growth stops switch the bulb cause its time for flowering, hope this helps bro

As LG said, switch your light when they finish their vegetative stage, usually sometime around week 6. Also switch to flowering nutes at the same time.
