New Grower When do the guys start to drop pollen?

I have a make plant its three wks old just need to know when to put something under to catch the pollen thanks

Usually around week 5 the male flowers will start to open and will drop pollen for about 2 weeks.

You generally want to start bloom/flowering nutes when vertical growth has stopped

Most of mine have shown from 3-5 weeks. Ok all of them have. When I have good growth , about a foot tall maybe, doesn't have to be, and they have plenty of pollen sacs, and when they first start to open up and drop pollen when you tap them, I chop him and place him in a plastic tupperware type tray(no lid) for several days while it dries out. And over this time it will continue to grow a little kinda and open up some or all of the other sacs that are formed. Then when he's all dried out, I shake him out to get the pollen in the tray, then I stuff the rest of him into my hash bag for collection and scrape up the pollen with a straight razor and collect for my deep freeze pollen stash.

Some show earlier than others so just keep it up. Some I have fed nutrients some I just give water. Actually the biggest male I have grown had no nutes at all, just plain ph water.
