Basically wondering if LST / TOPPING / SUPERCROPPING

can be done to an autoflower?
i tried using the search bar for this but nothing came up
maybe lagged on me, nothing was entering

anyone tried any methods like this?
if so list the outcome and how to's :D

I've successfuly LST'd plants that I did just to test.. Here's one right before chop.. It's PBD x Auto Widow, I have another of the same pheno growing out now that's twice as big vegged. Wet this one came in @ 172g with most of the stems chopped. LST is quite productive because I believe it's the reason the buds on this plant are rock solid (I mean really, really solid.) It's drying now, hoping to get at least an ounce and a half off of it. It dwarfed early on and I had to transplant it, but she rebounded nicely.

Here's a meh picture of a plant I FIM topped - I also had to snap the middle nodes because there was no way to get them enough light and trained the lowest ones down so they'd pull downwards more to get more light - this thing is a monster right now, picture doesn't do it enough justice. I wound up with 5 heads on it, I had to break two off about two weeks ago because the buds in the middle of the 5 heads weren't getting enough light/air. Easily 2-2.5oz dry on the plant.

Screw stress, just be gentle.. and use lube. Plants will be okay.

They look niceee
are their any LST tutorials herE?
i tried searching but nothin came upp

what lights did you use?

i'm going to try and revive this thread as i am very interested in the possiblities of using LST for autoflowers.

I am fairly inexperienced but it seems that LST would be good for autos as it helps the lower buds get more light.

Does anyone have opinions on this?

I am currently testing it out on 2 of the 3 autos i have going now and they seem to love it. I tied down the main cola on both of them and immediately some of the lower buds have raised up towards the light.

Both of these plants are currently at different stages. The one plant that i orignally bent over seems to have 2 or 3 main colas now. and also, compared to my last grow the smaller buds seem to be growing much faster.

I intend to throw up some pics of my two that i currently have lst'd once i get my camera working

LST and autos go hand in hand it seems. There are a ton of people on here that mess around with LST.

It's not official LST'ing but I always tie down my plants when they start showing buds just to allow more light to penetrate to the under buds, not just the top ones. I never start until week 5 - 6 which is quite late for autos that finish in 7 - 8 weeks but it works. They don't put on most of their weight until the last week or two anyway.

I'm fairly new to growing Auto's, but i'm using CFL's so from the start I have adopted the methods of LST due to their lack of penetration. As someone said above, deffinately go gentle and make sure not to bend the plant at the base of the stem where it joins the roots. I made that mistake on my first two girls and they stunted completely :o. Always try to bend the plant mid stem above the first few sets of leaves, you'll get a feel for the plants flexibility pretty quick. It'll feel horrible to begin with and you'll look at your plants with disgust at what you've done. Bung them back in the Oven for a couple of hours and 'Pooofff' :wiz: as if by magic you'll have yourself a little bush.

I myself have never tried topping an auto. I'm not going to knock that idea though, but for me it just seems more logical to bend than to chop.

Here's an Image I found that helped me in the early days:

And here are a few pics of how LST has worked for me:

As you can see I use communal pots with holes drilled sporadically along the top lip. A little spool of Cotton and you're good to go  Tie those bitches down!
