what is the best strain to use in Ireland? I plan to just grow on my window using only natural sunlight and need to know what strain would work best. i know this is not the best way to do it but i do not have access to lights or a proper grow room so need to know what would be the strain of auto flower for my situation. any help is appreciated, no time wasters please this is my first time and im a noob

hey bud hows it going, you should head over to intrductions and say hello to the gang.......I would say your short stuff and lowryder strains would be good not much for yeilds, if you could go out side some of your super auto's would be outstanding...........

dia dhuit lukas, welcome to AFN, no time wasters here bro just helpful friendly people . an outdoor/window grow in ireland is in the lap of the gods. i have lost 90% of my grows over the last 2 summers due to mould, wind beating,lack of sun etc. etc. IMO it's pot luck, i have had reasonable success with Mossy's strains as they seem to be more hardy than some others, High Rise Seeds may also be a good bet . search the site , i'm sure you'll find some usefull info that may suit you. best of luck:smokebuds:

thanks for your replies, i dont really have a place outside to grow that has the right light soil etc.. or that wont get found so it would have to be inside. would most strains work out okay sitting by the window? its in a fairly warm upstairs room

Hi Lukas, Welcome to AFN. it all depends on how much light you get through that window mate, Ive grew on im my earlier days in my flat, it had a south facing window tho, so had sun all day long,
It vegged ok but didnt flower much.
Didnt know what strain it was etc... but unless you got a Roof Window or a south facing one, you might be wasting your time, oh it will grow, but wont produce that good a yield.
Still, makes for a wicked house plant, they are beautiful looking.
On that thought anyway, ever thought of investing in LED's
Loads of threads on here about them, i myself use them and they're wicked, just a thought!

i have thought about it yes but dont have the fund for it at the moment, i was looking at a grow tent with lights an all in my local grow shop but it was about €3-400 i think which i dont have at the moment. and im living with people so its okay to have a couple growing on the window but they would not be too happy if i had a tent with lights growing proper smelly chronic haha :group:

hello! welcome to AFN!

you should check out any dinafem strains.. they work very well in most conditions.
after you get use to growing a bit you can check out other strains, or you can grow year round and get a HPS or LED lighting system and use it when the seasons change.

if you have access to some 2x4's and a hammer/nails you can construct your own grow cab.. just build a box and get some mylar to cover around
