I’d rather growers that have grown multiple grows and have grown at least any one strain multiple times answer my question or something(provide input?):

out of all the grows you have managed, what ‘factors/variables’ played the biggest part(s) in resulting your most ‘chronic’ batches/harvests to date? Is it having changed a nutrient line-up as an example that a particular cultivar preferred nutrients in a acid form vs a salt form that could have been a significant contributing factor to the resulting quality.

Kind of a hard question to answer as each grow is a little different.....my 1st grow, it was water quality issue and once MoG got me straightened out on that it was a good harvest. Subsequent grows little things were changed ( fabric pots, switching to Mega Crop, going to AutoPots, upgrading lights) that helped or hindered until I found the setup I liked. Now I'm experimenting with off the shelf time release nutes and plain water in order to simplify the operation. But I would have to say, for me, switching to AutoPots was the best thing for my style of growing.

I’ve heard very little of autopots, so don’t know what benefits they provide over other systems. Is it like dwc but you don’t need to ever switch out the water(/reservoir?)? Is my guess as to what autopots are but I’m probably wrong…I might look it up in a few just to truly know.

Basically a bottom watering/feeding system with automatic valves.....it bit pricey but I'm older with a bad back and it's so much easier on me to refill the res than it is to shift pots around in the tent to water.

Ooohhh...I like the sound of that. Whatever is honestly easy on me physically would be the best system. I'm wondering if I can make an autopot cheaply/easily with some household materials.

The pot and tray would be no problem....it's the auto valve that makes it work great...
Auto valve=important function.
Gotcha. Wonder if I can find some good grower's equipment on Alibaba or something to accommodate a 6-12 plant setup...if that's even remotely a good idea.

Autopot changed everything for me. Started getting huge yields but some strains I find just don't like it. And now this week I got so mad with the autopots that I dumped them all in a fit of rage after 2 grow had to get scrapped. Genetics is a huge part probably the biggest part. Orange sherbet from fastbuds I've had the best success with. But the biggest change I'm finding now is dwc with photoperiods, just as quick as autos. Vegging just 3 weeks then flower. Huge dense buds in same amount of time as autos give or take a week or 2. And I do nothing during veg no water change or adjustments. It's so simple.

I'm running 6 tray/pots in my 3 x 5......toyed with the idea of trying 2 plants per pot except that the damn things grow too well with just 1 and already fill it up.
