Second grow, first turned out pretty well. This time, germinated seeds in a small bottle of water, just like last time. The only difference is this time, because its cold in this part of the world, I germinated them near a light bulb to keep them warm. They didn't get too hot while germinating, water temp was no more that 80 degrees. The seeds cracked and two of them had about a 3/16 tap root showing. I planted them in the same soil I used last time, about 3/8 or a little more deep. Watered them well and kept them moist. Temps in the grow room are steady 75-85 degrees. Its been 3 days and nothing is growing. Should I just give them more time, or did I kill them germinating in light. Thanks for any tips you can give.......

when mine didn't really show up at first I dug it back up and put it in the soil with just a tiny layer of dirt.
What I'm thinking (might) have happend is that you warmed up the bottle and then placed the seed in dirt that was much colder.
going warm water -> room temp soil = shock
you should probably:
room temp water -> room temp soil = happy seed

I am no expert but I know from my experience so far that cannabis does not like swings of things (temp, nutes, etc..)

Give it some time might come soon or move it up a little in the soil, make sure it's moist and has some air to it.

I would give them a little more time.I am also having a hard time germing seeds this time.I had to regerm two seedsthat never popped.Germing is the hardest pert of my grows an I have been growing for years.

How I germinate, rockwool cubes soaked in 6.8 ph water the shook out to get rid of excess water. I put the seeds in tip down about a 1/4 inch in. I put a very very small about of rockwool on top and around to cover and hold up right. Make sure rockwool is in contact all the way around the seed. I use about a q tip amount of Rockwool, best reference I could come up with. I then place them in a Tupperware cake container and place it in my tent under my lights. Average temp is about 76. My average germination time is 3 days! My success rate is 98%. No bullshit. I keep them in the container until I see a tap root out the bottom then I put them directly into my soil. FF ocean forest. I run 1/2 a gallon ph'd water threw my soil before I plant to rinse some of the ferts out so it's not to hot......I've tried cups of water, papertowel method, even heating mats, and this method by far has had the best results for me....good luck

Sometimes i help mine break the surface. Ive noticed at times they get stuck in there, maybe im just being impatient or worried. You have to be extremely careful doing this as they are very fragile. I dont know if i should recommend this or not. AT UR OWN RISK.

I just germinated two Red Poision seeds. The first and largest germinated in 1 day, the other smaller seed just popped after 5 days. I use the paper towel method and have never had a misfire yet. Some have taken up to a week. I would give them more time to emerge, they're just putting down a good tap root.
