Hey Guys,

Just Registered To Ask The Pros; I Got A AutoMazar Starting Flowering Now And I Asked Myself Again If Its Effective To Cut The Top Of The Plant To Increase Yield. I Heard Very Opposing Opinions Regarding This Technique. Anyone Can Clear Me Up?
Thanks Folks

im no pro but ive never had a better yield from topping autos, if youve got the room let her bloom !

I think its generally agreed that autos ought not be topped or pruned out at all, many say that even 'supercropping' or elbowing stems is even too harsh a treatment for a plant that will be alive for such a short period of time, with so much growth asked of it.LST or Light/Low stress training is probably the best way to go,ie light 'positioning' of branches/growth and tying rather than bending...use something that won't eventually cut into the plants stem tissue to tie them.good luck

I've tried topping autos and all it really accomplished was setting them back a week or so while they recovered and didn't increase the yields. I agree, if height is an issue LST is more effective for autos.
