Not sure if myth or fact. I've been reading guys on other forums say when you trim affects taste. Like wet trimmed bud tastes like hay. Is there any truth to this?

Also the hanging of the whole plant to dry vs hanging it in pieces. Any truth here?

Never heard that bro although I'm sure someone way more scientific will chime in with some info. I think the hay smell is more to do with a proper dry and cure rather than anything to do with trimming but again just what I've gleaned from research.. what I absolutely do know is that I hate trimming.. but the missiz is great at it :d5: oh.. and I always trim wet without a hay smell in the end product :smoking: dry trimming has always been an absolute nightmare for me.. :goodluck:

I wet trim also. Never had a hay taste but I have wondered if it would taste even better with a dry trim.

I never bothered doing a dry trim as wet trimming seems easier. Also think it helps to prevent mold during drying/cure. I figured those guys were talking nonsense but I wanted to get a second opinion. Make sure I am doing it right. Lol

Wet vs. Dry trim..
I've found no difference in taste. Dry trimming by hand is kind of a pita, That's about all I know.
I've hung whole plants, and just nugs. Neither had any effect on smoke. I usually only hang a whole plant if the humidity is going to be below 43%, so the moisture in the plant slows the bud's drying speed.

...I'm late to the party again, aren't I?
