Does anyone on here have a sure thing way to get rid of thrips quickly? Im pretty sure that i noticed some damage on a couple of lower leaves of my Auto Assassin and i know you have to get rid of the problem asap.

Also, do thrips leave sticky clear sticky stuff on leaves?

Im about a week and a half into flowering.

Do they come out of the soil? Will nematodes help for them?

There are lot's of things people use from tobacco/alcohol to any number of insecticides. I have used insecticidal soap and azamax with good results, but you have to follow up appropriately (according to label directions) or they'll just keep coming back. You can get insecticidal soap at Lowe's... it's not expensive. All the best, bro. :peace:

EDIT: Was writing this when maul posted. I have seen many experienced growers testify to positive results with the mixture he recommended... as well as the schedule.

Thanks alot for the replies guys. Will definitely try this tomorrow after i grab some cigs.
So hit them the first time as soon as my lights go out?
Will it be bad to cut a light on during lights out to see the plants better? I only noticed on one plant but i figure i should hit them all right?

I've heard using tobacco as an insecticide but never in such detail as maul put it!
I copied it down and saving for later just in case! Thanks!

I do not recommend using tobacco in or around your plants. Even handling tobacco with your hands and then touching your plants puts them at risk for Tobacco Mosaic Virus (TMV) - not harmful to humans but can seriously hurt your plants & yield.
TBM, what in the heck planet are you from??? How would anybody know that??? :D

Do cigars count? :(

yes thats true.. and TMV is damn near impossible to get rid of or kill... ionizers work tho.. :)

Thats the reason the recipe says to boil it first... both to extract max Nicotine... and to sterlize TMV and other potential pathogens...

and yes... if you smoke or handle tobbacco... wash your damn hands before touching your plants or going near your grow room!!!!!

canna is not as susceptible as say, tomatoes... but it can devastate a crop quickly...

well it does depend on the ionizer you have... the one i have is industrial... you cant stay in the room with it or you'll come out in a body bag...lol

you're right... should be boiled to proper temps / times... actually a pressure cooker is even better... you can make large batch at a time and save in freezer or even "can off"
