It is rare, but can be brought about by stress or too strong an application of nutes during the sexing stage and seems to be most common when using humic acid. I have had it happen and once you get rid of those low ones there usually won't be a problem.

That is really helpful information. I’m assuming the organic composting soil I‘m using is high in humic acid so that should account for how frequently I see this. I’ve also been pretty aggressive with the nutrients.
