Watering?

You have to water them according to how they dry. I usually try to get a liter in them before germination. Then about 4 oz a time the first week. They dont need much when little.

These babies are now in week 7. I pretty much let thesoil dry out before watering them, but wondered if this is the best way to go.

I don't like to, sometimes it's hard to rehydrate the peat throughout.

You need a wetting agent, something like this to lower the surface tension of the water.

Many products like this out there.

@Arthur thanks for the suggestion. How often would you water?

I think you got it already, wait until it has dried out...not bone dry but dry enough that the pot becomes easy to lift. Then water until you have 10% to 20% run off... The amount you water and how often is determined by the plant, get these factors spot and the plant will reward you.

forgot to ask are you in coco or soil?... if soil then my first comment applies but if your in coco then its can be a different ball game

When you under water a plant the stems will tend to remain quite perky whilst the leaves will just start to flop straight down whilst looking limp and lifeless.
When you over water your plants they will droop or curl/arc from the stem to the tip of the leaves if that makes sense? The leaves will also appear quite fat/full rather than limp and lifeless.
It can be hard sometimes to differentiate between the two and it’s sometimes a fine line between the two!

Also beware of heat stress as that can also look like underwatering sometimes causing leaves to flop or go limp but If your temps are fine you can easily rule this out.
Try to keep your ph between 5.8 - 6.5.......I tend to play it safe and keep mine between 6-6.3 now just to allow for small fluctuations or errors on my part.
You’ll also find that your plants leaves will loose their perkiness slightly during lights off/just before lights off & just after lights on so it’s best to assess your plants half way through lights on for more accurate diagnosis and to help you gauge how much water to give.
Again, I’m no expert but I hope that extra little bit of info may help you until @Waira rears his/her head!

A tent, led lights, temps from 19 - 27 degrees. 15ltr pots, dirt. Autoflowers.
Approximately how much and how often should i be aiming to water/ feed my luvlies?
How much will depend on your conditions as well as the size of your plant. See my post above to help you water your plants like a boss!
