This is on week 2' i am giving them fish mix 2 mill per litre i am using biobizz light mix. Should i soak the whole pot and then leave it for a week or so ?. I am asking because I am not sure how far down the roots are, the way i am watering at the moment means only the top few inches get water, but i do not want to deny the bottam roots from water and at the same time i am scared of over watering.
I really need to get this grow right as i have not been succseful in the past.
Cheers

You should water so the entire pot is moist because the roots are growing very fast at this point.Never water on a schedule but water only when needed.Lift your pot when it is fully watered to get the feel of how heavy it is,than when it feels pretty light when you check again it's time to water.

ok thanks i will give the pots a soak and then check a couple of times day. The reason i asked is that i am worried of too much water, the plants are too small to take all the water in and it will just hang about.
Maybe i am wrong but i will comprimise and give them a good drink

Think of overwatering problems as 'constant watering' problems-if you let the pots dry out between waterings, you'll be fine. The water will go away, either into the plants or into the air-just give it time to do so before adding more.

Thank you, that is what i have decided. The plants are too small for me to take notice of drooping leaves, i don,t want to pick them up and check as i don,t want to disturb the roots so i will check them several times a day and be patient for a few weeks. I will put up some pics then.

MOISTURE METER 8 bucs to 30 depending where ya get it, never leave home without it..

What a coincidence? I am just going to the shop to get some biobizz grow, a friend phoned this morning and suggested exactly that! A moisture meter, i was going to see the prices and decide then but i will now get one, he says i will pay around a fiver (£5)
Thanks for the feedback

hi i also recommend you before you water your plants see how heavy are the pots and by the weight you now how much water do you need. also let the the top of the soil dry so you know when to water them. in my first grow I used a moisture meter work fine.

thank you, now that they are 4 or so inches high i will lift them with care, i was wary of lifting the pots when they were so small, also i am using dirt pots and the roots can easily be disturbed. the way they are shooting up at the moment in another week it will be no problem.
