Hello i have 20L pots and i water them with 4L of water every 3 days or so, they get dry really fast i just watered them yesterday and they are light and dry today i can go down 4 inchs and its dry should i water with 6L a time or what?
nah man they are in soil, i am going to try dwc later but right now they are in 20l pots 5 gal and i found it dont stay wet for more them 2 days at a timegot a pic of the pots and top soil of the pot your using by chance? try slowly watering with a surfactant. castile soap or similar.no dyes, smell yummy stuff or likewise.or yucca extract is good.but for 10 bucks get a bottle of dr broners and/or a plain castile soap and try again.if its rooted out it'll not hold water and you should be using a surfactant at that stage.a cpl weeks sooner woulda been good too bro..but if theres a lotta room left and soil to still be found by the roots you have dry spots/pockets.surfactant or if its somewhat easy SOAK the entire pot and wait for the bubbles to stop then let it drain well for an hour or two n right back under the lights or however ya wanna work. thats what Id do anyway if it was super dry and still light after watering. hope thats helpful.
NVM! lol oops,my bad.i noticed yer name..DWC?no my thing. if its soil that is,other than than juuust ignore my stoned ass lol
they are 33 days old now and yes they are staring to flowerMaybe you should increase the amount of water you are giving. 6l sounds about right. Have you tried covering the soils with clay pebbles that helps with the water loss from evaporation. How old are the plants ? Are they flowering ? You could also add vermiculite to your soil mix in future this helps retain water.
Don't be scared to water every 2 days if needs be. If the leaves start to droop cut back as that would be the 1st sign of overwatering.
Hey man i just watered them and it worked great only took 3 liters tho and had alot of run off, my dark devil xl is over 4 feet today and its only 4 weeks oldyup, and big pots love being watered slowly and I mean slowly. 20L during flowering, 6L easy bro. don't matter about getting run off, just make sure you throw that away.
if you bung water just on her, it will either drain out of the side and to the bottom straight away or bore 'water holes' through to the bottom and just drain away, waste of feed. So to get the water to sink correctly and slowly
Water them right in the middle, near the stalk, but don't water more than half the diameter of the pot. halfway from stalk to edge, wait for it to sink in, then repeat, keep doing this over and over until water begins to seep out of the bottom holes, or if airpot the bottom sides.
Or if you have a single probe moisture meter, stick that in the side / at the bottom and keep watering slowly until it reads 'wet'
takes time tho bro, best get a nice one rolled for the duration.
