Any idea of the ph and ppm

When I cant get RO water I use my ho.e softened water and every 2 weeks I run flora shield at 2 tablespoons per gal to keep the roots clean it seems to help. My ppms are high almost 300 after exiting the softener we wont drink the water.

The good news is sodium is easy to filter. It is a really big atom, a cheap 10 micron whole house filter will remove it. Thats why it's bad in soil, it clogs up soil pores and attaches to cation exchange sites excluding other minerals. It has a similar effect in hydro, but it is binding with other minerals directly (oxygen primarily.)
When it joins with a water molecule it makes sodium hydroxide and releases free hydrogen. You can see how that would screw up your hydro. It eats oxygen, and releases hydrogen, which alters pH to some extent. Depending on how much is released as gas and how much binds with nutes..

Yes I'm sorry to say it's this is my first time growing autoflowers finally tested the water PH was 8.2 the parts per million and the alkalinity was off the scale the creek water in my area was the same way filing using Rainwater I also discovered I had bad genetics2 the autoflowers haven't even flour and I'm on week 13 I started some sweet seeds big devil XL and deep sea creature mixes
