Hello again!

So, I found a new watersource. Old, abandoned, remote cottage with underground cistern (no fancy plastic water tank, just traditional cement or similar material) that collects rain water. Water color is a liiiiittle bit yellowish/brownish. Looks clear, no visible mud or moss etc. Smells ok, maybe a bit earthy. Finally water pH is about 8.0-8.2 and has about 335 ppm. Do you think its ok to use it for watering (after lowering the Ph)? Thanks in advance and stay safe!

Just be carefull of lime from cement, maybe bottle some and try it on a plant first for week or buy a well water testing kit if your really worried. But in theory it should be good if it was old cistern.

335ppm is a tad high. You would be better off finding lower if you can. I went with lake and stream water here due to the same problem with our cistern water.

Thanks for your answers!
