I’m running a build a soil living soil(osf, gypsum, crab meal etc) recipe in 3 gallon pots with cover crop. (no blue mat tho). I bought a filter to dechlorinate my water. It comes out at 8.5 ph and I believe 150-300 ppm. Alot of people say don’t adjust ph when running living soil. I’ve have been using apple cider vinegar to get around 7.0 with boogie brew tea. Should I adjust my ph or leave my boogie brew tea at 8.5 ph? Here’s my progress so far (start of week 7)?

Did you try to FIM that second plant? If not it looks like something is eating it?

We need to be sure we are talking the same scale PPM because 150 - 300 is a big range? In the USA we use the Hanna scale the rest of the world uses EC.

Let your water sit out overnight or better yet is to aerate it. If you have chloramines you need to treat it with ascorbic acid. 50mg treats 1Gallon. at 3.4PPM of chloramines.

PH your water to 6.4 - 6.8 with commercial products made for the job. Vinegar is not persistent and will attract insects.

Let me know what is going on with the PPM of your tap water.

I did try to fim it. (It is one plant) The next day hairs popped up. Learned my lesson ha.

I pretty sure my ec is quite low in my water 0.1-0.3 The filter I have (boogie brew water filter) is suppose get rid of a lot of harmful chemical.

I have ph up and down, but also use organic teas and was told the chemicals in products will harm the life in the Tea, I can use lemon drops instead. It is an indoor grow so I’m not to worried about pest too much.

Ive used the boogie blue filters for a few years. they remove the chlorine pretty well but dont do much to chloramines if anything. they also do not remove much in the way of solids. ive tested ppm before and after going through the filter, and they remove around 10-15 ppm.. never let the filter dry out when not in use.. ive since switched to tap water bubbled or left to sit 24hrs at 150 ppm..

3g pots are on the small side.. soyou may need to supplement with frequent nutrient teas from the beginning of the stretch and some well timed top dressings up until week 6 of flower or so to avoid stalling out(assuming the plant has vigorous growth)

Ty. I have a 2x2 tent, I was thinking of running 7 gallon pots next run or a city picker if it doesn’t smell too bad. I’ll have to work on my water situation. I been feeding it boogie tea every 5-6 days, and I try and top dress it every 3 weeks with a dr earth recipe. Ty for the info

I am in a similar situation, I run living soils and my tap water after the Boogie filter is 8.5 ish and 300-400 ppm. I always read that living soils didn't matter with PH, but I can tell you that in mine, I had lockout issues until I started to remediate the PH down. I use citric acid for PH down and try to keep it around 6.5. I also add a splash of Ful-Power fulvic acid with every water to insure there is no residual Chlorine.

Have you tried Recharge? It helped my grow a lot when I started mixing it into my regimen.

I’m going to have to get that recharge, I’ve see n it mentioned so much in so many different places. I’ve only started feeding my plant about 3 weeks ago and mainly just use the boogie brew tea every watering with some molasses. I ph everything after I Aerate the tea. Ty for the tips.
