What you should do, is mix some clay pebbles with the soil. A ratio of about 99% pebbles.

Then, stand the pots no some sort of container to catch the run off, you could even use the runoff to water them again.

It may be difficult getting the water out of the container, so maybe put a pump in it to empty it somewhere, like back into the pots.
