Whats up people?

I am 15 days in to my first INDOOR grow. I've had experience outdoors with nothing but mother mature, bag seed and hose water, but this is my first attempt at total indoors. I started my day count once the seedling broke ground not from the day it cracked its shell. Let me know if that's correct or not, thanks.

My grow "box" is actually a tote, turned vertical and is about 3 1/2 feet tall X 22 inches wide and 20 inches deep. I'm growing from seed in FFOF under 2 105 (ACTUAL) watt CFL 6500 K bulbs (which are fuckin huge) in normal workshop lamp fixtures from good ole' HD. I bought 4 bulbs originally but heat became a problem and room was not adequate, I am only growing two plants anyways so no biggie. The seeds I ordered from Herbies, are Vision Seeds Auto-flowering Feminized Northern Lights. I have two of the larger sized computer fans as exhaust fans, rated at like 102 CFMs or some shit like that, and 2 4' inch personal desktop fans in the box used for air circulation. I coated my box in Mylar safety blankets for reflective material. I purchased a 5 gallon jug of RO water so i'm all Gucci until I run out and when I do I already have my pH tester and adjuster kit on hand to use good ole' tap water. When i do switch to tap, I have maxibloom nutrients to add to the mix, which should be in about a week. Supposedly it imitates the Lucas Formula and is good through the whole grow. We'll see. Oh I almost forgot I mixed my FFOF with about 33% organic perlite for drainage and shit before I planted in my (what i assume to be) 2 gallon nursery pots.

So let me know what you think and I look forward to many more grows with you guys. DSCF1362.jpgDSCF1364.jpgDSCF1365.jpg

What light they put out? I checked a vendor website. Under 105 watt fluorescent it says:

100 to 105 Watt CFL - 400 to 500W Equal Compact Fluorescents

Doesn't sound right. Two 105 watt fluorescents=900 watts? Then again a 13 watter is the replacement for a 60 watt incandescent.

900 watts!! Mighty.

I bought two 105w CFLs (6500K) from China, I don't know where they get the wattage from, but they put out the same amount of light as my 36w 6500k CFLs. They're huge, but not too bright. I use them to light my appartment. Then again they were under 20 euros a piece, what can you expect with a price like that lol.

I haven't done a "light output test" if that's what it is called. Lol. But they are bright as hell and my plants aren't stretching. I think they said 300w equivalent each. But check it out on amazon it was like 25 USDs for a set of 2. I couldn't pass up the opportunity. People swear by having multiple bulbs and then complain about constantly moving them, so I just said fuck the bull shit and grabbed the biggest ones that screwed into a normal light socket. By the end of the grow we'll know if they are worth it. Thanks for the comments guys.

Hi Charlie, Are they coiled or straight ? I've had both and they both grew decent plants. If they are the huge coiled ones from Cowboy Photo, I just had them fail at around 4500 hours. But like you said, not bad for the price. I learned the hard way that the key is not expecting to SEE the light deteriorating. By then it was too late and man did the girls stretch.

Thanks for dropping by Feenix. I grabbed these from limostudios but I did see the cowboy ones too. They're coiled, and I had one fail on me too 1 day into my grow, contacted the seller and no hassles they sent out a replacement. I didn't have to return the broken one or anything. I'm glad to hear they can produce some quality ladies. How many where you using and how many plants if I may ask?

Also Feenix do you begin your "day count" when it cracks after germination or when it penetrates soil? Thanks in advance.

and a quick question does anyone have an answer or theory as to why the tips of each serration on the fan leaves is 'pointing' upwards? I dont want to say curling cause I'm in denial, i assumed heat stress and backed my lights off a bit a few days ago.

Alright guys, anyone with any type of cannabis growing knowledge put me at ease or give me advice on what this might be.

CharlieMurphy I can't really see the pictures that well bro. From what I can see it looks like a genetic mutation but like I said, it is hard to make out what it going on. Can you get a little closer with some light on that leaf?
